    My oldest dd was 12 when we let her get contacts. She started wearing glasses when she was 2. She didn't last long with them and stopped wearing them maybe 2 years later.

    My 7 yr. old dd and I volunteer for a cat rescue here in Las Vegas. They let kids as young as 5 volunteer.

    No, my 7 yr. old stopped believing a couple of years ago. Her reasons being that Santa can't be in every mall at the same time, he can't get into a house without a chimney, and he can't possible deliver toys to all the kids who celebrate Christmas in one night. Sometimes I have to stop her from telling her friends he's not real.

    We were in Oregon 2 months ago visiting relatives and checking out Portland. We usually go back home to LA a couple of times a year as well.

    I just made my list yesterday and plan on starting ths weekend. I'm stumped on what to get hubby. He's the hardest one to shop for so maybe I'll just ask him what he wants.

    How cool that your vet is a hs'er! My dd would love to intern at an animal clinic. We are currently volunteering for a cat rescue which she really enjoys. I'm trying not to bring all of the kitties home.
