We did a hot dog and it wasn't much fun. DH thought it would cost too much to buy all of the ingredients but I should have done the chicken or hen anyways.
I'm just curious what people prefer. Where do you order from if you buy the printed version? I was looking around and noticed a bit of a price difference. Thanks!
I just wanted to add Grammarland. Here's the link http://books.google.com/books?id=iXgSAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false
My dd loves it.
I recently found some free ones online. I haven't have time to peruse all of them but here are the links;

I hope some of those work for you.
We started with Beta and ditched if after only 2 tries. DD cried each time and I didn't see the point of making her stick with it. I think it was just too repititious for her and she didn't like the lack of color. We also switched to MM and she's doing great with it. We are using the full curriculum but I might add CLE for 2nd grade.
We used Evan-Moors Grammar & Punctuation for FLL 1 which is a workbook. It wasn't very meaty but dd really liked it. There's also this which is free http://www.sfreading.com/resources/ghb.html and you might want to check out Grammarland which is a free vintage book that can be found on Google books.
My 1st grade dd is doing AAS 2, ETC 3, OPGTR, FLL, and WWE. I don't feel like it's overkill and she is doing very well. Once in awhile she will complain that it's too much writing so she doesn't do all of the above every day.
My 7 yr. old dd does this also. She will sometimes skip a and the or mix them up. I gently point out to her that she skipped the word and have her go back and read it over. Sometimes I think she is just trying to read too fast.
www.lessonpathways.com is a free curriculum that is scripted and has everything scheduled for you. We use their Science and dd really enjoys it. If you don't like it at least you're not wasting any money trying it out.
