  1. Is it just me, or is the font size (of post content especially) smaller than before? I'm having a tough time with it. :/ Edit: weird, my mobile postedmy real name as my forum name. No prob with pc. Need to contact support.
  2. Four wonderful homebirths, the last three waterbirths, this baby girl will be an unmedicated hossy birth due to not being low risk anymore. The ob care has been night and day. No nutritional accountability or support, 10 min. vs 1 hour prenatal care appts., and I spent some time in L&D with preterm labor ( first time for both) and the hossy bed was so small and uncomfy! I could not sleep and I was so exhausted. Of course, the light was on and that didn't help much. ugh. I plan to go in as late in labor as possible and leave as soon as possible. ;)
  3. We have four boys as well and are expecting a surpise little girl in Sept. It's not that we didn't/don't want more, but because of my health we were waiting until/if we could get me healthy again. This preg. Has confirmed that we were on the right track, but I'm so thankful for this little girl <3...but we are doubling, tripling, whatever our bc efforts after her birth, lol. And, if I was honest I wwould that my dh has chosen a life, entrapenurial, that is far from stable. I don't know how many diff. things he's done that haven't met our needs because he doesn't want a boring job! He'd have to become more steady and make the choice to provide us with a dependable and lower stress, meeting basic needs life (we are living in a fifth wheel so he can have capital to start a new business..I consented but told him this is the last time I'm doing trailer life for an idea...he'll have to work himself out of a job next time, sigh, lol, whatever...before this we spent both of our inheritances which was a lot, mucho money on his ideas/gambles :)), and I'm just not sure that's going to ever hsppen. :P He's a hard worker, just, well what I said, lol. P.s. I've always wanted a large family as my grandma had 7 and I loved all the aunts, uncles, cousins, it was like a big party growing up and so much fun and happiness. We just had a family reunion and it was wonderful. :)
  4. I meant similar in that they are asking for additinal info. above what is legally required and the slippery slope that may be and that is a concern to some, but, yes, these situations are also different. So the other part of the letter that you did nog quote was the more pertinent part, imo: NOTE TO HOMESCHOOLERS This situation is a classic example of why OCEANetwork recommends that homeschoolers supply to public school authorities (the ESD) only the information required by law. To begin with, the ESD asked for the optional email addresses in order to have convenient access to your data. Many homeschoolers provided their email address. As a result, the ESD was emboldened to require the email address from all homeschoolers. And finally (at least for now), the ESD threatened to withdraw recognition of legal homeschooling status if homeschoolers did not follow the ESD's own internally-developed procedures. Forewarned is forearmed. Rodger Williams
  5. We had something similar happen in our area and OCEANetwork stepped in. Here's a portion on the letter they sent to them and us that may be helpful to you-especically the encoragenent to NOT give out more than is lgally required and why. ... Northwest Regional ESD does not have legal authority to require additional notifications. In particular, you do not have the legal authority to require those notifications after your staff deliberately discards the original notifications. On behalf of homeschoolers spread across your service area, OCEANetwork is respectfully asking Northwest Regional ESD to: 1. Stop requiring/pressuring homeschoolers to provide an email address in order to do business with you. 2. Quit threatening homeschoolers when they choose to follow what is specified in the law rather than following your own internally-developed procedures. I would be pleased to discuss this in more detail if you wish. Sincerely, Rodger Williams OCEANetwork Legislative Coordinator http://www.oceanetwork.org ---------- end open letter ---------- NOTE TO HOMESCHOOLERS This situation is a classic example of why OCEANetwork recommends that homeschoolers supply to public school authorities (the ESD) only the information required by law. 6. I could post a pic if anyone wants to see this "look" or the colors on a person. I know that helped me so much. If none is *really* interested, I'm more than finethat, too.:tongue_smilie:
  7. Glad you're getting so good ideas op and thanks for the inspiration ladies! Thanks to this thread I went out and bought some foundation and applicator sponges and applied a mini mask (all like I used to 15 years or more ago), and love it. Makes such a huge diff. for me, brings out my eyes for one and I look fresher, more awake or something! *I bought the same foundation I used to use Revlon Colrstay for oily/combo skin (as recommended in The Beauty Bible by Paula Begoun) in Ivory and it's still perfect. Yay! :) Reviews: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/x_showreview.asp/page=1/pagesize=20/ItemID=13842/ I prefer a mini mask to a tinted moisturizer because I like the same natural looking and non heavy feeling, but I need a bit more coverage than tinted moisturizer gives and I don't like how shiny/oily my skin looks with TM. I do need to do my chin and eyelids, too, but it still looks realy natural. Mini mask info http://books.google.com/books?id=bII_4h77GI0C&pg=PA398&lpg=PA398&ots=SeTDSXnAK-&dq=foundation+mini+mask+paula+begoun&output=html_text *I usually used Mineral Fusion blush in the color Flashy daily before starting up foundation again so put that on. A review: http://m.drugstore.com/mineral-fusion-blush-flashy/qxp346247 Expensive, but the color stay on all day and is perfect for my skin color. Really, as a reviewer said a littlle is all you need and it lasts a really long time. *along with my standby Burts Bees replenishing lip balm (with Pomegranate Oil is my fav, lightly tinted, and matches my natural lip color) *and some Black Wet and Wild Coloricon eyeliner lightly on my top and bottom lash line. Cheap stuff, but it doesn't smear or smudge throughout the day and is reaaly pigmented, so it lasts what seems like forever. Unlikely, but major score! Reviews: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/x_showreview.asp?ItemId=140693&Color-icon-Brow-&-Eye-Liner&Wet--n--Wild&Eyes *I would like to find a concealer for occasional blemishes, so will look into that. That's it and I'm loving it! Eta Oh and I also cut light bangs today. Really cute and detracts from my crows feet, lol. So feeling pretty good these days about my appearance. Thanks again.
  8. Hi Jean, yes I have them all over my body-much more than the 18 diagnostic spots. They feel like bruises to the touch and really hurt when massaged. I don't do anything for them-except for the hip area ones, they don't hurt unless touched though i'm sure they add overall tension?? they are much much better when I avoid all allergens and do a low carb/sugar diet that is so hard to keep, but I just get back on it again and again and...i hope you find something that helps and please let me/us know. Thank you!
  9. to both! on the way to the ultrasound my dh was joking with our boys that if it's a girl we're going to name her Benjaminette. DS2's reaction made us lol. He didn't like that so much. Winnie Jane is her name.
  10. Awww, you're so sweet! I haven't even thought about that! I haven't had one since my first, but maybe since it's a girl someone will want to. It would be really fun. Thank you all so much for the warm congrats. We are so thankful and blessed!
  11. won't keep the ultrasound shot up long because it has my name on it, tried to edit but can't figure it out-long day but an oh so happy one!
  12. Thank you. I have looked into these some and there are such mixed reviews out there and stories of surprise pregnancies! I'm really nervous about doing even a low dose bc for health reason. maybe unnecessarily so. :/ I'm trying to balance my hormones (along with my ND) and rebuild my health and bc can cause nutritional def. from what I've read. I'm doing so much better than I was a few years ago (but still sick, but I was really, really sick-but I'm older now so it probably evens out, lol, I'm 35) and I'm so scared to go back to that place. You no, now that I think about it, pregnancy is probably much harder on my hormones and nutritional status than bc would ever be? :/ eta. Alright, I'm not making sense now and should call it a night, lol. My US is 45 minutes away and in the morning, too! Thank you ladies. <3
  13. I will look into ladycomp. I don't think I've ever heard of it. I do need to research vasectomies and I have heard of a few things here or there like it can affect a man's immune system. Dh and I did joke that he could get it reversed after menopause, if that that's true, lol! Honestly, really truly, IF I ever get better, I would love to have more children. but, the thought of another pregnancy/birth/infant/nursing until then just makes me want to burst into tears. :( I'm really thinking I would be so happy and thankful with the children I have though, too, if we think it's best to go the more permanent route.
