  1. PS school teachers stay in the room. Many, many young students need to be kept focused and on task. Independence will come with age, but for now plan to monitor. Try to find quiet things you can do, while keeping her in you line of sight.
  2. :grouphug: Weather permitting, turn on your sprinkler next to the fence. I understand wanting to keep the peace. Winter is here, and the doggies don't stay out long. The quiet is really nice.
  3. Yes, I would definitely borrow the shovel in that situation. Feeling guilty and appreciative, I'd do something to bless them back. Dig out their car or shovel their drive way and side walks before they have the chance. Nothing is nicer than waking up thinking you need to shovel, and find it already been done. And I would want and expect you to take my shovel to get your kids picked up....Guilt free.
  4. I think it sounds fantastic. Our families live more than 40 hours apart though (My family 30 hours from us, his 5 hours). I wish we lived closer. Your mil sounds wonderful btw.
  5. They absorb more and feel dryer to me. Like disposables, some are better than others. I change disposable or reusable often. And the questions are very reasonable. Heck, I remember feeling a pretty big gross out factor when I first read about them.
  6. I'd have her vision tested, and then have her drive only with an adult in the car. Did she take a drivers ed class with road instruction?
  7. http://www.vermontdiapercompany.com/products_for_women.html The Vermont Diaper Company has organic all cotton pads with snaps and diapers at very good prices. Dd and I each have a set with a dry-bag that gets popped into the wash. I am pretty weird about icky stuff and wash them separately.
  8. How terribly sad. She was so encouraging and helpful, a beautiful lady.
  9. Thanks for the update, I'll be praying for her.:grouphug:
  10. :grouphug: Stock up and don't worry about taking down the decorations or have someone else put them away.
  11. I'd try a temporary color strip (use paper or what ever tacked up) to see how it looks. A wall paper boarder might be another option to tie everything together.
  12. I think many foods now have so many things in them, that they do taste off and cause plenty of side effects. Blech:tongue_smilie Too many chemicals, preservatives and un-natural junk goes into most everything now.
  13. Take breaks between tests and his independent reading ability into account. Once he is reading fluently with ease, the tests become easier. :iagree: And the wording on the tests are often intentionally confusing to many test takers. It's only a test, but it can frustrate many a student, mom and teacher.
