  1. Take a picture of all her stuff for record keeping and keep it in her room. Bad roommates are the pits. Tell her not to feed he drama.
  2. I would put him in the program in a heartbeat. My kids were all peer models in an early childhood special needs preschool. Where we were involved, about half of each class was made up of typically developing peers. There were usually 4+ adults in the room at any given time--1 teacher, 2 aides, and a specialist or 2. In order to teach early childhood sped the teachers often have masters degrees. It draws a certain type of person and across the board they were such loving amazing people. The teacher student ratio was low and my kids all learned a ton. It gave me the break I needed to give attn to my school aged kids.
  3. Child mostly but adult too would be good. We have camelbacks but are tired of dealing with multiple parts, and adult/child straws are not interchangeable.
  4. Can anyone recommend good water bottles that don't break the bank and don't have a zillion parts?? Would be nice if they kept things cold too.
  5. Is there a multiplayer iPad game that I could set up for my boys to play with their friends and chat on that is secure and private, with only players I can approve? They have been doing roblox but we deleted bc of the chatting with random people.
  6. We have light granite and it stains despite the seal. Dishes break easily on it. I'm over it. Frankly I prefer laminate but my husband doesn't.
  7. Yes!! In fact I make my printer purchasing decisions based upon cheap toner availability.
  8. We just sold in a hot market to multiple offers. Our realtor negotiated for us to stay for free for 2.5 more weeks. We could have gone with a different offer and they wanted the house so they agreed. We were offered more by someone else so to us it seemed like a fair deal.
  9. Sounds like fun but I worry my family (husband included) would be likely to get hit by a car...
  10. OMG Reno was so HOT. And DRY!!! We could not imagine living there. So random to have such a fantastic school in the middle of nowhere. My soul would be crushed living there. Regarding pollen--I spoke with some of the longtime DYS moms who said that after a year or two, their entire families would have allergies at every summit. I asked what they were allergic to. The response? Reno.
  11. Have you spoken about this with any Davidson families who moved for DA? I too was in love with DA but in our case would fear that moving would put undue pressure on the child--for things to work out near-perfect. Also I think it's easy to feel a high for a few short weeks in the utopian dys world, but when reality sets in it may feel different, like a honeymoon.
  12. We accelerate through spelling workout to cover phonics/ spelling and read read read.
  13. All 3 of mine placed--2 in the state and 1 nationally. Unfortunately they are in bed so I can't tell them! Looks like they take a whole lot more than 20 national winners per grade--but I won't tell ds that lol. Ironic that he placed nationally but not in the state?
  14. Get the lit leveler app and that will help you. The titles vary.
  15. We like trader joes whey vanilla. Their hemp is too grainy.
  16. Perhaps virtual homeschool group could do it??
