  3. My dd and I started with WWE1 but could not continue due to school work and other issues. We are now doing WWS 1 and she is able to cope well. OT: what does/did he do after WWS2?
  4. Thank you. I couldn't see the sample because the WTM Press web site asking me to login or register first. I'll check on Amazon.
  5. To those who have seen it: did you compare it with the earlier Advanced Language Lessons? How different is it?
  6. I am so sick of Windows 10's constant updates and the resultant changes to my computer settings, I am thisclose to switching to an iMac.
  7. You may find this thread helpful: Which 20 books help prepare for reading the Great Books
  8. Thank you for sharing this. I had read this post that Martha had kindly compiled from the giant WWS questions thread. I want the PDF that SWB linked in post# 131 of that thread.
  9. Thank you! I couldn't find this thread and posted an identical request last night. I'll pm you my email address asap. :)
  10. I have another question - which copia exercises are covered in WWS 1 and in which weeks?
  11. SWB posted a scope and sequence for WWS 1 to 3 in post #131 of this thread: Answering questions about Writing With Skill This was the document she linked: Topoi-expanded I cannot find the document at that link now. If anyone has the original scope & sequence, can you please send it to me? I can PM you my email address.
  12. I am not familiar with RS Geometry. If dd is doing well with MM, and it is working well, I would continue with it. If there are any Prealgebra topics that MM doesn't cover, I would get a cheap textbook (like a used Lial's or Dolciani's) to supplement MM. If you choose to use an online option, both Derek Owens and TabletClass have got good reviews here. You can preview both on Youtube. I prefer DO's voice over the teacher from TC but TC is more affordable esp. on sale.
  13. I bought Bobbi Brown and MAC and both types have lasted for years. However, I later found I could also apply concealer with my fingertip and foundation with a basic makeup sponge and it looked just as good for daily use. Other good (and more affordable) brush brands are Sephora and Sigma.
  14. SWB had posted a PDF of the WWS Scope & Sequence when WWS1 came out. I can't find it any longer. Does anyone have it?
  15. Yes, this is what is described in the article. Glad she got out of it, which she wanted.
  16. I originally guessed it may have something to do with sports. I was wrong.
  17. I agree. I was hoping for the fourth book this fall but there is no news of it.
  18. @SwimmerMom3, I saw this via Twitter today and thought of your thread: Teacher Recommended: 50 Favorite Classroom Apps
  19. According to The Leaky Cauldron, it will be broadcast on Cinemax in June 2018.
  20. Wow, I haven't read any of the authors mentioned on this thread, except Agatha Christie. Lots for me to check out. :) OP, would you be interested in J K Rowling's crime thriller series featuring her detective, Cormoran Strike? She writes them under the pen name Robert Galbraith. There are three books in the series so far, and they are available as audio books. The first two books were dramatized by the BBC last month.
  21. Google Docs, Google group Calendar, and I just found Google Keep for collaborative notes and lists. Alternatives to Google are Dropbox, Todoist, and Evernote. Slack is a communications app that young people use to collaborate on projects. Some companies have deployed it at work. An alternative is Skype. ETA: Many YouTubers I follow use FinalCutPro for making videos. Here is a list of apps one YouTuber, Thomas Frank, uses. Yes, I want to know more.
