  1. Well, like the post I quoted, there is a large social media presence for both trans and anti-adoption; both groups speak out against those from their own group who don’t agree with them and both groups think everything will be perfect “if”…if they’d stayed with their birth families for anti-adoption group and if they were the opposite sex for the trans group.
  2. My post is pretty self explanatory. Threads have tangents all the time. It happens. 🤷‍♀️
  3. This sounds like a lot of the trans culture in social media…
  4. What do you think he’d feel like if his Dad hurts his girlfriend?
  5. There was a board member here who was a remote note taker…I think it was @milovany Anyway, your DD doesn’t need a person in the class to take notes. Your college can use a remote service.
  6. You make nearly $100K as an EMT in rural NY? $100K would be $48/hr straight time. That’s good money!
  7. I’d hire someone to build this frame, then put in a mattress, pillows, comforter, etc…if you paint neutralish colors, you can change out with the seasons
  8. Edited to add: I think you’re asking the wrong question. It should be…how can I (or can I even) facilitate friendships without endangering my kids’ friends.
  9. IME, kids don’t want their friends to see stuff like this. It’s embarrassing and shameful to kids. I don’t think they should feel that way but feelings aren’t rational. Would you WANT another kid at your house? Do your KIDS want other kids over, knowing that their dad’s action might lead to the police being called?
  10. You might want to rethink this phrase
  11. So this is social work and not a sales job? Bc a sales jobs that depended on commission would be a no-go for me no matter how flexible
  12. That would bother. who read the x-ray? A radiologist? Or an UC doc in the box? I’d want to know what they saw and if they don’t have a definitive answer, ask why and what you should do in regard to f/u
  13. IIRC, A few years ago, a member on the College Board had a child who got taken advantage of her first week or so away from home. She got a call from one of those (either) your computer has a virus or your account has been compromised. I’m pretty sure she paid them to fix it… That’s another thing to warn our loved ones about
  14. I’m not a doctor but IME, it depends on where the area or spot is… if it is in your lower lobe, I think it takes longer to get better It just always seemed to be that way when people I cared for had pneumonia
  15. Where did this thread go? i didn’t have time to answer yesterday
  16. Next court date isn’t until June 26…preliminary hearing. those poor loved ones left behind… 🥺
  17. Applies as well to boundaries, no contact, estrangement…
  18. “Mommy’s going to work to pay for retirement so you don’t have to take care of her when she’s old so you need to go to school now” said no mother, ever.
  19. Wow! That is quite the crystal ball you must have in order to be able to write this with such assuredness.
  20. That’s great do you have a long term plan or goal?
  21. That’s weird bc I’m not signed in and it keeps opening for me every time I click 🤷‍♀️🤷🤷‍♂️
  22. I thought his breakdown and hospitalization and all this was due to the death of his son. Do I have that wrong? Or did he only love the one son he lost?
