  1. Our studios rules (and she's at an RAD studio) is that you must be 12. And... she tests strength, first. We have some exercises that my daughter can do if she wants to strengthen up.... In fact, her ballet teacher, just the other day... told her to start doing more exercise on with her feet and ankles... :-)
  2. Well, Churches are known for a "good spot" to find trusting people. He or others without security background checks shouldn't be with children. Good reason to keep kids with you.. or people you know you can trust...
  3. Once you've taken her to the vet, perhaps she was just lost and has a chip they can find? Also, aren't there different kinds of chips, so you can see if you take her to a couple of different spots, perhaps a better chance? Our vet is a spot you can just walk in and they'll check for you.. and perhaps the Humane Society would check for you?? :-)
  4. I've lived in Salem, Oregon ST Paul, Minnesota Abilene, Texas Longview, Texas Tulsa, Oklahoma Garland, Texas Salem, Oregon (again) Leonia, Somerset, & Manalapan, New Jersey Canton, Michigan Salem..... (for 10 yrs now!! That's the longest I've ever lived anywhere ....straight) :-)
  5. I'll show that I don't know how to use a calculator here. I don't know how to add fractions using a calculator. I can't see why you'd need to use a calculator. Fractions are fun to add on paper..... Now.... all of the algebra makes my brain kinda burst.... but I'm gonna keep doing math with my daughter... and hopefully some day, I'll be Well Educated:-) All the talk about students showing up at College without basic math down makes me scared!! I don't know how you make it through 3 or 4 yrs of High School Math without getting basic math down. Hmmm
  6. I'd keep 'em and then give out the mice when they get big enough for some snakes. Or... call the pet store and ask if you can bring them back when they're big enough to separate. I think you have to keep that group separate from the other female, right?? Good Luck!!
  7. Yup about the attorney. Getting one and paying a few hundred dollars or whatever now, will save relationships and heartaches later. Some people really shouldn't be molding their children's lives. Bummer for the parents, but sounds like the kids are doing well with you... (and will continue to once they're with you.) Are you going to homeschool them?? As far as $$$ I'd say that she should give you what she can, as she could never "pay" you enough :-) Good for you and your husband to step up!.......
  8. I'd tell my husband not to crush my babies and their hearts. Have him feed the pup... maybe she'll sneak up on him and his heart and he'll end up "letting her stay for just a while" :-)
  9. I'd say she's a keeper. I love the way she looks... food... love and bath... and at least you'll be able to find her a home. If I had no animals.... I'd like her :-)
  10. She needs to get some time of mortgage insurance in case she dies... her house is paid off... at the very least..... hugs for the rest. Sorry.... Maybe I'd be checking out the cottage if I were you:-)
  11. I have:-) I haven't had my daughter use it much, but I was really overwhelmed with doing Math with her the other day... and just gave her a "brush-up" day:-) :-)
  12. :D:D:D:D I hope you're remembering about just enjoying your baby!! :grouphug:
  13. Have no idea.... but I'd leave the baby. I nursed till my son was (gulp) almost 5, but found he was fine with my parents or friends for a night or two. And, if you're doing this in the spirit of a free night, I suggest: Chocolate, a trashy (well, mindless) mystery novel... more chocolate... a great dinner... and a bit of wine with some cheese. I'm not sure you should HAVE to..... but I think it's great to be solo or with a bestest friend for the night. Have any friends who could go... while their husbands watch their children?? Girls Night Out... could be fun:-) Have a go at "fun" since you're going:-) (the kind where after, you have no need for regrets:-)
  14. If you have to pay for something like pills.... for as long as they're suppose to work... (10 yrs??) it's not too bad:-) Good Luck!!
  15. I agree with the Octopus and then to confuse it... Why not add an (') ?
  16. How about Lady or Baby comp http://www.raxmedical.com/ I do have a problem with Birth control... but not pregnancy control ;-0
  17. Is anyone doing Challenge III or IV?? I am looking for info about Challenge III and IV. Would anyone who has students attending upper Challenges... or Tutors... pm me?? Thanks!!
  18. At our local art studio, we paid $25 for 4 lessons, 1 or 1 1.5 hr a piece...in a class situation. (10 student limit?) Honestly, I wouldn't pay for private lessons, but I would be interested in a say... group of 6 students (well behaved:-) with one teacher. :-)
  19. If you were going to design a public charter school's curricula, what would you choose? This Charter school will use things that go with Core Knowledge curricula, but in the highschool years... there's some discretion. If you were in charge, what would you use.... for Latin... etc. This school will be 5th -12th:-) Also, what are your favorite Classical Colleges where you would hire your teachers from?
