    Using proper pronouns saves lives. It is actually NOT acceptable to refuse to do so, even if it makes you uncomfortable.

    If I saw it as morally ambiguous anyway (which in case of gambling I do) then I'd probably decide it was not a big deal. Other things would be more difficult, perhaps, though without knowing what you're talking about I can't be sure.

    I don't think it could ever be cheesy to invite your kids to celebrate your accomplishments (or anything else.) I bet they are very proud! I hope you are inviting friends too!

    I'm not sure this is a really important distinction? There are shootings daily. It's highly disturbing whether the shooter knows the people or not.
