    How old are the children? My experience with older kids with RAD was very, very traumatic.

    Yes, I have 2 lifelong friends that know my whole story. I can talk to them about whatever. I have a few newish friends that I'm working towards a closer relationship with. I'm hesitant due to CPTSD and intimacy is difficult for me - but I am trying.

    I'd gift her a gift certificate for a one time deep cleaning service and, if finances would allow, would offer to help weekly or bi-weekly with that service too.

    This is just so vastly inaccurate. Even short amounts of time with a disordered person can cause immense amounts of trauma.

    I've definitely experienced a mourning period with DD12 starting high school this past fall. I miss her. I miss homeschooling. I miss a lot of things. But she LOVES school, and she is getting different sorts of challenges, and conquering them, and it was the right decision for HER. Sometimes it still hurts.

    Are you able to check out an AA meeting near you? It sounds like you need support and to not be alone in this battle. Can your husband be involved too?

    I don't think any (many?) insurance companies will cover someone who doesn't even have a license.

    Yes, I actually do with DH. And, oddly, years ago he told me that he strives to make me feel cherished (which I found odd at the time)- and he really does.
