  1. I buy mine at the teacher supply store and they are really nice. But I am sure they are probably more expensive.
  2. Cutting the binding for one book was $1.50 at Kinko's
  3. My oldest (girl), 7, I think she will need help with that up until 20 or so. She is so scattered brain makes me go insane. My next one (boy), almost 5 does not want to get down from his seat until he finishes whatever he started (coloring page, logic game, drawing, mazes, or whatever). The other don't know yet. I am still trying to handle lots of things while sitiing down by my oldest, or keep checking in with her every 2 minutes.
  4. I found 1 inch at Big Lots - for a dollar, I think. Costco has them, and better quality, I am sure.
  5. I think for books alone 500 is about right for my second grader. But then, if you add ballet classes, PE or swim or music classes, it is much more.
  6. We just started playing - my oldest - second grade and I - and they are fun. yes, the challenge is to find time for them.
  7. I would really like to get to this list - I do not know who Paula is or where her list is. Does anyone know? Please help.
  8. Good for you! I am wiped out, too. But I have no independents here, and I'm pregnant. One week down! Zillion more to go ...
  9. I would put a stack of phone books under his feet. Adjust the seat with a pillow or book if needed.
  10. I will use Bible study Guide for all ages. I bought it but I will use it a lottle later - my oldest is just 7.
  11. We are only in 1B, and we do the textbook orally - she looks and tells me the answer. I will reuse them for my other 3 children. Workbooks , of course she writes in those.
  12. I am starting today also!! I hope it goes well for you! My struggle is the attitude of my oldest (second grade)... cannot imagine Highschool, good for you!! Just prayed for you!
  13. You do what works best for YOUR child. One games, one drills, both ok!
  14. I don't know, it is expensive all around. I am only in my 3-rd year, and just adding a K this year - but prices for swimming and PE doubled, and I am trying more new stuff this year for 2-nd grade - AAS, some RS, several others.
  15. I do Singapore MAth, but will add RS Activities and Worksheets for my second grader + Math card games. The levels - a, b, c, d actually are too slow for us. We also do the Abeka workbook to make sure the "american style" is added. YOu might find used RS on homeschoolclassifieds.com
  16. Mine was 18 at Costco. Came with markers, erasers and all
  17. I need a cbd coupon if anyone has one, please. I have to checkout today. Thank you.
  18. Pray for wisdom, patience and endurance. And remember why you homeschool when it gets tough. At 4, 5, 6, 7 just have fun. Do school, but have fun.
  19. Thank you for the link. I hope some experienced moms are going to asnwer your questions.
  20. I would not do grammar in K. Not even spelling. Just reading and reading aloud, and fun activities.
  21. I am sorry about this situation you are facing. God's strength to you! I would start school if ds is so eager, but only a few days a week. I would not start full-strength. This way maybe you will have time for your family and youe son also will not feel left out, and be excited about school.
  22. Wow, you made me scared now. Do you have a link for that diagnostic test? I will have a just turned 7 second grader this fall, and would like to test. I did not have good results with ETC, so we gave up on those. She just made the same mistakes. We will try AAS this fall. I do not know anything about CLE.
