About ravioli soup...it has been 90 degrees and Im sooo in the mood for soup. I thought Id be the only one wanting soup this week.

Yeah. I was too surprised to know what to do at the time, but Ive felt guilty about not saying anything.

I have this friend ( I use this term loosely as we dont know each other too well, but we talk when our kids are at events together.) I like her event though we are a bit different. She has a bigger family and I think she uses the teenagers as babysitters a bit much for the little ones. We were at an event this week and as I was buckling my kids in the car my dh saw her teenage son spanking the almost 3 year old in their car about 10 times dh said. What to do? Dh said the spanking was quite excessive, but holy cow this is touchy stuff. I wouldnt know what to say. Im wondering if things go on like this all the time. She seems to put so much on the olders to keep up with the little ones. I wonder if she honestly would care as long as she isnt having to keep up with all the little ones.

Thanks. No we dont neglect picture books at all. The family watched Charlie and Willy Winka movies. Dh and I were wondering how the book compared to the movie. We bought the book, ds 1 wanted to hear it too. Then dh and I had never heard of the great glass elevator book, do be bought it and ds wantef to read it too. I saw James and the giant peach on the back of those books and remember adoring that book in first grde, so we got that one too. Followong ds lead basically. Ds 2 is just about on th same level of things as ds 1, there is only 17 months between the. Ds 2 covers his eyes if there are no pictures on the page we are reading.

To a 5 almost 6 year old and 4 1/2 year old. Both boys. So far the old chapter books we have read are James and the Giant Peach. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. We arent locked into Roald Dahl, it just happened that way.

We are starting homeschool August 1st, but I dont thin we will go all in right away. While we still have nice weather we are just doing math and language arts 3 or 4 days a week and pick up more subjects and days as the weather turns cold in November.

Do you use them or hate them or toss em out as soon as you get a new book. I hate them on kids books especially and so does my dh so we toss em. They just get ripped.

What type of rice does your family like? I used to eat brown rice, but lately we've been stuck on basmati white rice. So, is brown rice really a lot better for you?

Id do better by grabbing some random hunk of meat, putting it in a frying pan and then plopping it on his plate, that he could do. hed do without side dishes, but not meat.

I was like this. I grew up in a house full of adults. I wasnt around kids much, I couldnt relate to my peers and I never have. I always preferred the company of adults even if it meant sitting and talking instead of playing. My oldest is the same way.

My 5 year old does this. He will say mom or dad several times. Its like he is just trying to think of somethig to say. He has done it a coupke years now. My 4 year old does not

My favorite pizzas has white sauce chicken, bacon and onions. or pizza juts ultimate cheese lovers with several types of cheese and white sauce. I also like pepperoni, green peppers, red onions and jalepenos stuffef crust. I like to drink pepsi or sweet tea. I also enjoy oj with pizza along with a few other odd things too. Thought I was the only one.
