Today 17 yo is leaving for Boston and then World Youth Day in Krakow!  I am so nervous I of course didn't sleep well.

Today:

Workmen arrive at 8 as does glass shower door guy to measure things.

Wake kids - 14 yo does math homework

17 showers and packs his bags and listens to last minute instructions from me

Feed 17 yo lunch before he goes

Take to airport at 1:00 and see him off

Take 15 yo to her last math tutoring session of the summer.

Come home - maybe workmen will be gone and I can nap?

Take 15 yo to rehearsal

Dinner?

For the first time in like forever, my kids don't have a program today.

For me, I will of course be working.  They have work to do and hopefully will let me do mine without much interruption.

I have a stressful conference call coming up.  I hate how they stress me out for hours beforehand.  I feel like I should be preparing but my brain is too foggy to think what to prepare.

TGIF back at you, Jean! Hope you have a better day today.

Take Ds to camp.

Bookshop with Dd. And maybe the bakery too!

Help my mom with her computer.

Save a table at the pool.

P.O.

Pick up Ds.

Go to the pool after dinner for live music and free ice cream!

Good morning!

Faithr, I pray all goes well for your 17 yo!

SKL, I pray the stressful call goes well!

I've had a busy week trying to get a lot of co-op and school stuff done before today.

Dh and I drive up to get my nephew, meeting half-way in north GA. After we get home, my main to-dos will be taking care of him, his meds, and meals. I'll still have some detailed planning to do while he's here, but he rests about 3 times a day.

Good morning everyone!!!

Happy Friday!

I'm going to clean like a crazy person, clear off my bookshelves, rearrange stuff, and pray the AC wants to play nice.

It froze up yesterday and it's wicked hot again today.

DD #1 is working.

DS #1 is detasseling corn today.

DD #2 is home with me.

DD #3, #4, #5, and DS #2 are all with Grandpa getting new baby pigs and having adventures.

The little ones are with me, absorbed in Dora.

It's really the perfect day to school plan because I can't be outside and I'm missing half my crew!

Good morning... It's far too hot and humid outside for me today

- call doc re dd2 croup- done

- tidy house- done enough

- go to pharmacy to get dd2's meds- done

- go to a yard sale that benefits the custodian at dd1's school- done and scored a large kennel for $5

- work on master bedroom- changed bedding and bed made

- laundry- load in washer and dryer

- work

- dinner

- baths/showers

- bedtime routine

- anything else I get done- picked up dd1's friend, have school schedule (well enough to hire a sitter any way), put my plea on local daycare/sitter site

Question for you ladies...

We know no one here...how do we go about finding a church home?  I know it's suppose to be simple...just try churches, but its never that simple.

Thank you!!

I'm afraid that I just go to whatever church calls my husband to preach.  I guess I would want to see their statement of faith/ doctrinal statement.

Tammy, if you want, PM me and tell me what you are looking for in a church and I may be able to give you some ideas. When I first moved to TN, some friends from seminary were stationed at Ft. C., so I spent some time up there.

Hey - you know that feeling when someone does something *really* nice for you?

;)

Mowing will NOT be on my to do list for Monday.

My dad just showed up with the kids. (They helped him get new piggies today - moving, sorting, counting.  I think it's more fun for him than the kids but you never can quite tell.)  He brought the trailer.  In the trailer were two big mowers and he and DS knocked out the entire yard in an hour.  The heat index is 110.  I like him so much.  (Our mower broke last week and we're waiting for the part to show up.  Mentioned that it was broke last night when he picked up kiddos.  Blessedly, it had broke at the very tail end of mowing last week so it didn't even look too long yet.)

In life, everyone should have people who like to do nice  things for others.  I'm blessed to know a LOT of them and most of them are family.

Love it.
