SKL
I'm pretty sure my kid brought home that lovely souvenir from Brazil. She has all the symptoms. Far as I know, the only thing to do is wait it out (and stay hydrated). My kid isn't impressed with my free medical advice. 😛 What say the Hive?
Alte Veste Academy
Agree with you, but add Pepto Bismol according to WebMD.

elegantlion
If none of that fixes it, I would have her tested for parasites such as giardia. https://www.cdc.gov/parasites/giardia/index.html
scholastica
Consider adding Florastor. Get tested for various bacterial infections.

It's been a couple decades but a friend came home from overseas and was sick way too long before going to ID doctors to get tested. My experience was with food poisoning (overseas). We didn't use pepto--they put us on antibiotics (cipro). So it may be worth calling your doctor to see.
prairiewindmomma
Go give a stool sample. There’s too many bad possibilities to just wait it out. It may be viral but it may well be a microorganism that needs to get nuked with an antibiotic.
mmasc
I’d go to the doctor and get tested for stuff. We recently had a friend come back from a vacation, got sick, and ended up in icu for awhile. They finally discovered the cause was Hepatitis E. Likely from contaminated water on her vacation (they did a lot of snorkeling and swimming).
