Good morning!

Woke up at 5-ish with an insanely intense migraine, took meds, went back to bed, and thankfully feeling functional but sleepy now.

Today I have....

....coffee (lots)
...sleep at some point
...school work with DS14
....DS14 to fencing
...laundry
....begin quilting the star quilt (if headache/sleepiness permits)
...potato soup for dinner
...pack up the nativities and put the dining room back in order
....grocery shop??? (thinking this gets bumped to tomorrow probably)

I'm so sorry!  I hope the meds keep working and the migraine stays away.

thank you! Normally, yes, if I get the meds in on time, like today, then the rest of the day is fine. I have been having more frequent migraines than normal, presumably either due to perimenopause stuff (normally, I have one migraine a month, at the start of my period) or else due to stress. I'm going to chart them for the next couple of months and see if I can pinpoint which it is, and see if I need to check in with a doctor about it or not.

Pretty good start to the day even with an unanticipated extra-early start because of bowel issues and muscle pain. Note to self: eat MAX 3 - 4 dates or there will be trouble later! 😨

Done: physio exercises and stretches, phone for appts for dc

To do: driving ds to coop, driving other ds to guitar, walking the dog

This is what I'm experiencing, too. I used to get 1-2 migraines a month at predictable times, but now they're happening randomly and more often. Isn't it so much fun being a female?🙄

Howdy!  Can I just express how excited I am to finally be back to a normal computer speed?  Internet is still flaky, but otherwise things are working, for now.  (I didn't open PDF or Excel yet, so maybe I am getting excited too early ....)

Done:

  • "Slept" through numerous alarms starting at 4:something.  Ugh.
  • Kids up.
  • Reviewed math, made corrections.
  • Kids off to the school bus on time, yay!  We are on a streak!
  • Washed dishes; 1st cup of coffee; a little reading.
  • Caught up on emails, news, social media, calendar, and school stuff.  Grades continue to improve slowly.

To do:

  • Another cup of coffee.
  • Lots of client work - remember some time-sensitive items.
  • Set up chiro appointments.
  • Pay bills.
  • Figure out what is needed for tax payment due tomorrow.
  • Find out whether kids are supposed to come to the high school info session tomorrow evening.
  • Some minor housework & decluttering tasks.
  • Drive Kid2 to horse riding & back.
  • Kids' homework etc.  Kids to bed at a reasonable time.
  • Hoping to backup computer files in order to switch to new computer ASAP.
  • Need to figure out how to make Outlook work on my new computer.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Oh, yes. So much fun. I tell DH every month "I hate being a girl!" LOL!

He replies (every month), "Yes, but I *love* that you're a girl, so...." Ha!

Filled the bird feeders since I noticed that birds were hopefully checking out the empty feeders.

Washed & hung a couple loads of laundry and put away clean towels.

Cleaned kitchen. Ran vinegar through the dishwasher.

Refilled spice jars (my long lost order that was mistakenly sent out to Utah finally showed up - Spice House gave me $20 off the order because of the long wait!)

Decluttered one kitchen cabinet and the mudroom drawers.

Tidied up the pantry a little bit.

Fed horses and shoveled manure. Called the horse vet because my old boy is lame in his front leg and has some swelling. *sigh* When it rains, it pours...

Working on menu planning now.

Home from fencing
took another nap (I have to remind DH every time that the pain part of a migraine is generally followed by a sleepy phase of a migraine; he doesn't mind/get upset, but expresses mild surprise every.single.time, "Didn't you take a nap already?" "yes, dear, I did. Migraine. Remember?")
finished school work with DS14 after the nap
have not/will not touch the quilt today; hopefully tomorrow
