Teaching3bears
DH and I are hopefully having more opportunities to go on short dates. I don't really want to see movies or shows. It's too cold to spend time outside. Other than eating, what can we do? Shop maybe?

Can't you bundle up and enjoy the crisp air? There are all kinds of things to do outdoors that are more pleasant in the winter because there are a lot less bugs, humidity, leaves on trees, etc. Outdoor skating in the winter was my favourite thing growing up. So much fun! Edited December 20, 2019 by wintermom

happi duck
We have an outdoor mall and parks with tons of lights and decorations. That's a favorite thing for me! Those are free but there are also special light displays that require admission.
Teaching3bears
These are all great ideas! Tonight we just went to a restaurant and I had sweet potato fries, then to Best Buy and the dollar store and it was fun enough but I want to try other things in the future.
ScoutTN
Just going for a walk together is one of my favorite dates. Unrushed, uninterrupted conversation is lovely. Often, so is being happy and quiet together.
TABmom
You could take a board game to a coffee shop.
wintermom
My dh and I have "Tennis Dates" where we either play singles tennis or doubles with friends. We may stop for food after the tennis (usually just a grocery store), but sometimes more fancy. Yes, we do enter a public place all sweaty and hair in tatters. 😂 I guess we're weird that way!
