FloridaLisa
I'm looking for some great spotify lists or you tube soundtracks. We've always played a rotation of classical CDs -- Pachelbel, Handel's 4 Seasons (my fall go-to), a CD I got from Rock Solid years ago for studying and a few others. Here are some of our favorite You Tube soundtracks. I don't have any spotify yet. Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack Best of YIRUMA Calm Movie Soundtrack Anyone have a playlist to share? Epicurean
I listen to the Gregorian holiday station on pandora a lot. I also listen to one called Celtic Harp Medley. I'm a big fan of Corelli when I want stimulating classical music. Sometimes I put on the French Cooking station when I want something joyful in the background. 8filltheheart
My teenagers love listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack while working.
Alice
My teenagers love listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack while working. Mine too. Also, numerous other soundtracks (Pirates of Caribbean, Harry Potter, Star Wars). Ds listens to the Pirates of Caribbean theme song for every Lukeion quiz or test. It’s become a bit of a superstition for him because the one time he didn’t listen, he didn’t do as well. :) Edited December 7, 2017 by Alice
Monica_in_Switzerland
I only let them listen to music when doing chores, not during school. We like: LOTR soundtrack Harry Potter Soundtrack Last of the Mohicans soundtrack Classical Kids stories/music And when we want to sing along, we do: Sound of Music Disney Beauty and the Beast Johnny Cash

FloridaLisa
I saw this recommended a few days ago. Lots of film scores. https://open.spotify.com/user/lbolhack/playlist/4lRtLHDlOobznLKkkvzkoO?si=TLS0NEflT1mz7ElPb4cuiA Thanks, I already several of those so I have it marked. We almost always have on our state's public radio classical music station, from morning til night. You know, I forget about this easy option. I need to find mine, so long as they do more music than talking. :D I only let them listen to music when doing chores, not during school. We like: LOTR soundtrack Harry Potter Soundtrack Last of the Mohicans soundtrack Classical Kids stories/music And when we want to sing along, we do: Sound of Music Disney Beauty and the Beast Johnny Cash Last of the Mohicans is legend in our house. We love the music...it's what we break into when we're hiking and come to a gorgeous overlook. :D It might make me want to binge watch tho! ;)
MrsRobinson
We like the New Age Instrumental station under the Focus thumbnail on Pandora. They play a lot of Piano Guys and other classics that dd is learning in piano lessons so she loves absorbing that while she works.
mytwomonkeys
My son (13) pretty much listens to anything Billy Joel all of the time, including school (especially math).
Hobbes
We just listen to a ton of the Rise of the Masters albums on iTunes. They are really long and relatively cheap. I pick one per month, generally, so we get familiar with a composer. We can do anything with lyrics or we are all completely distracted. LindaOz
My kids love Piano Guys music. I don't let them listen to music with words while working.
