HollyDay Posted October 14, 2017 Share Posted October 14, 2017 Thursday I went up to the local community college, met with an adivsor, took 3 hours of tests, and registered for classes that start on Monday!!!! I was awarded my bachelor's degree in the early 1990s. It served me well for the past 17 years that I homeschooled my dc. But, now that youngest has graduated high school and I'm looking at what comes next for me, I'm finding I need something else. Everything I've researched so far wants either "3 years recent experience," "1 year recent experience with XYZ," or certificates. A part-time admin job that really interested me wanted an IT certificate. So, I'm going to the community college and getting certificates. I tested out of 4 classes so I'll start with the next class on Monday. It feels really odd that I'm going back to college. It is exciting!! But, I'm carpooling with oldest dd to college. I never saw this coming!!!
