Good morning! dd1 headed back to school, we went to Mass and dh is going to pick up ds2 from his sleepover. Not much to do but clean

read (the book I was halfheartedly reading, just got much better)

other random things to get ready for next week (swim trip)

Have a great day!

Fridge clean

waffles made and in the freezer

chx wings baking

laundry done

salad made

house vacuumed

dinner - wings, quiche, salad, leftover sweet potatoes.

Not much resting here today, but our week will start off so much better with the house stuff caught up. A tidy house is restful.

The sausage is wonderful, less salty than the American sausages I usually eat, and made with grains as well as meat. TJ uses the British terms bangers for them. Good description below.

Good thing I read this and didn't just buy these. They aren't gluten free. (I normally always check but I might not have thought to since I wouldn't expect wheat to be included. )

I'll have to check the label. I think some sausages are made with other grains such as oatmeal. I do agree that you have to be careful. TJ was giving out samples of a brarwurst that had ch see init, a no-no for many people.

  • Sunday School [done]
  • Church [done]
  • Laundry [done - 3rd and last load in dryer]
  • Kids' work [done]
  • Work [did some]
  • Teach kids to cook spaghetti for dinner  [done]
  • Whatever else kids need to be ready for school tomorrow  [done]
  • Read-aloud?  [done]
  • Kids to bed  [done]
  • Some grown-up reading [done]
  • Some donations [done]
  • Work  [doing]

I felt like a normal person today, doing cooking and housework and having kids run around noisily between doing their chores and homework.  I even got a little "work" work done.  So now I am wondering - what did I forget?  :P

I have a lot of work I wanted to finish today, but I also feel like lying down ... sounds familiar ....
