goldberry
Smuckers seedless raspberry jam, glass jar unopened, Best If Used by March 2013. Does jam go bad unopened?? ETA, using it in a baked recipe, if that matters. Edited December 19, 2016 by goldberry

kiana
Yes, as long as the seal was unbroken and it looked and smelled normal.
SparklyUnicorn
I don't buy jam often so at any given moment I probably have a jar that's been sitting there for a very long time. I've never thrown it out so....
regentrude
should be fine. You'd see if there was mold once you open it - in which case you'd throw it away
justasque
Should be fine, assuming seal intact, no mold, etc. However, if I was making food for guests or as gifts, I'd buy a new one. I am frugal but guests get the best.
redsquirrel
2013? Nope. Jam is cheap. If it was within the past year, yes, ok. But almost 4 years expired? No. Even if it is not moldy etc it's well past its time. It's not going to taste as good as it should. And cooking doesn't 'fix' food that has gone off.
luuknam
You definitely would want to check that it's all sugar and not some artificial sweetener stuff in there... excessive amounts of sugar inhibit bacterial growth, artificial sweeteners don't, afaik.
gardenmom5
I doubt it would sicken anyone. more likely to start crystallizing, and/or loosing flavor.
