Jennifer132
We hand wash all our dishes after every meal. With a large family, this means that, including pots and pans, a typical dish drainer just doesn't cut it. Has anyone found a nice, large drainer that they love? SKL
We use 2 dish drainers, one on each side of the sink. :)
BlsdMama
We hand wash all our dishes after every meal. With a large family, this means that, including pots and pans, a typical dish drainer just doesn't cut it. Has anyone found a nice, large drainer that they love? Yup. A bath towel and a kid drying. Let's face it, if you let all those dishes air dry, then they will sit there on the counter taking up space. So, we use a bath towel because a washer washes faster than a dryer can dry. :D Then they dry, because I hate drying dishes on my counter. :) (Somehow I manage to tolerate the dirty ones?)
KungFuPanda
I'm not responsible enough to own a dish drying rack. Seriously. I just pile stuff and it lives there. Have you considered getting a few drying mats? Then you can spread them out, but the disappear when the dishes are put away. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Dish+mat
momee
Costco has a great big one, stainless steel too. We love it.
coffeegal
I use a regular dish drainer but cleaning the kitchen is considered a two person job. One washes, one drys and puts away the dishes. After the dishes are washed, the dish drainer is put away in the cabinet.
countrygal
I got rid of our dish drainer because it took up space on the counter (or in the sink if that's your thing.) Lay a towel on the counter to set them on then dry and put them away right away. That's what we do anyway.
Desert Strawberry
We have a drying mat with a dish drainer on top. I have to do two batches. I'm going to pick up a second dish mat for cups and bowls.
Hot Lava Mama
We use 2 dish drainers, one on each side of the sink. :) Yep. Here, too. But we have three side-by-side. Hot Lava Mama

Much easier to clean than any drain drainer.
Katy
Bath towels are better because you can wash them each time. Dish drainers get gross pretty quickly, and have ridges that make them difficult to clean. I do have a dishwasher, but use a lot of tools that aren't dishwasher safe. ezrabean2005
Two flour sack towels layered. They dry quick and when the dishes are put away the counter is clean and cleared off entirely.
