birchbark
I need: petite washable straight-leg quality (the cute ones I got at Maurice's last year are already limp) I was wondering about Loft's. We live rurally so I will have to wait until we drive into the metro to see them though. Any other recommendations? momee
http://www.jjill.com/jjillonline/product/product.aspx?item=YU059E&rPFID=1257&sk=N&h=N Wearever by J. Jill is very flattering to any body shape. I think they're super comfortable and mine have lasted for years. Definitely better than something I could buy at Kohl's that MIGHT last this season only. Watch for sales, regular prices are very high but they have sales often. And get on their mailing list, coupons come every once in a while.

Carol in Cal.
If you shop at Nordstrom and something happens like did with your last pair, you can return it or exchange it even if it's worn. That's why I tend to shop there.
Jyhwkmama
INC International Concepts from Macy's. Great pants.

Caroline
Talbots. They have petites.
TechWife
Talbots has several styles of pants that meet your criteria. I have worn their pants for years. I wear the Hampshire and Raleigh styles, but you may find the cut of one of the others suits you better. Not all stores have all sizes, but they have easy online ordering and you can return them to any store if they don't work out. They often have sales as well - 25-30% off every so often. whitestavern
I need: petite washable straight-leg quality (the cute ones I got at Maurice's last year are already limp) I was wondering about Loft's. We live rurally so I will have to wait until we drive into the metro to see them though. Any other recommendations? I was going to recommend Loft. I always buy my black dress pants there. They are flattering and hold up well. Their shirts, not so much.
magnificent_baby
I really like Dress Barn dress pants. Would short work for you versus petite? My second go to is JC Penney, Worthington brand. These are also available in short and have held up very well.
tammyw
Nordstrom is great. I rarely shop there but I have a pair from banana republic that is 6 years old and I still love them (I dry clean va washing to keep them nice, and that really does help I believe). kitten18
You didn't find any at Loft? That was going to be my first suggestion. Banana Republic has petites. There should be plenty at Macy's for you to try.
Tap
I like my pants from Express. They are thick and still look like new 2 years later. Expensive, but they have sales all the time, so you just have to keep an eye out for the sales to get them at a reasonable price.
Rachel
Loft or White House Black Market would be the first place I'd check. Talbots also has petites, it's been forever since I last bought pants there though.
birchbark
Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up getting a pair of ponte knit slim-leg from J.Jill after all. Very thick, high-quality, good for our winters.
