mommyto4QT
For next school year, I will need Rod & Staff spelling & english. We used to live near a convention and each year I would purchase from a wonderful booth there. We recently moved. There are not any area conventions that are within driving distance for me with R & S. Where do you usually purchase them from?? Thanks! jbsoil
We have a local Christian bookstore that sells new and used curricula. Rainbow resource also states on their website that you can order Rod & Staff materials from them, but only by phone or through the catalog. Zoo Keeper
I had fabulous customer service and cheaper shipping when purchasing directly from R&S--you can order by phone or mail (catalog). I've also bought used from the classified boards here or ebay when money is tight and am unable to pay full price for new. :leaving:
Ellie
Always from the publisher. :-)
Ali in OR
Milestone books is great--always quick service. Another plus--last year they sent out an e-mail that they will buy back books in good condition and I thought the price was pretty fair (can't remember what it was now--I'll probably sell back to them this year or next). So it's possible you may be able to get used books from them for a lower price if you need to.
PollyOR
Both the publisher (by phone) and Milestone (convention and online). They are both wonderful to work with.
SnMomof7
Always directly from the publisher. I have found that their shipping rates to Canada are much more reasonable.
Suzanne in ABQ
They have R&S on Amazon now!
Ellie
They have R&S on Amazon now! Just to clarify, Rod and Staff Publishers only sells its books directly to customers (which could be someone like Milestone Ministries, or those nice people who have booths at conventions).. They don't do conventions, or anything on-line, including Amazon (it's a third-party seller on Amazon). I don't mind buying from a third-party seller, because R&S doesn't lose out. :-) I've just been buying directly from the publisher since, oh, 1983, and I'm used to it. :-)
swellmomma
I alwys buy either from them directly at convention or used from other homeschoolers. If I could not find it used or go to convention I would order direct from the publishers. I have had nothing by good experiences with their customer service and would want to support them directly. Just to clarify, when you buy at a convention, you are not buying directly from Rod and Staff Publishers. R&S doesn't have sales reps, doesn't go to conventions. You're buying from someone who has a business selling R&S books (and usually others, as well). I only bring this up because I have known of people who bought books at a convention and then tried to return them to the publisher, but the publisher wouldn't take back the books because they didn't sell the books at the convention. :-)
newhsmom
I saw Rod & Staff at my local Mardel's this weekend. That might be an option if you are close to a Mardel's. I was specifically looking at the English, but didn't notice what else they carried.
