amy g.
In almost 25 years of marriage, we have replaced our sofas once but they were damaged in a flood. I also have 2 antique sofas that I well just keep getting reupholstered. The upsolstry on my newer sofas are looking worn after 18 years and I'm ready to replace them. Where should I look for a quality replacement that will last? Where would you buy one if you were not too concerned about the price?
mom2samlibby
We have a sectional from Smith Brothers. I think we've had it for 4 or 5 years now. Still looks as good as when it was carried into the house. Very comfortable, too.
lewber
Smith Brothers is a great brand. Made in the USA too! They have a great selection of styles and fabrics and a good deal of customization options. They were who I was going to recommend too. Their website is Smith Brothers of Berne - kind of hard to find. Hopefully there is a retailer near you.

catz
I've had Room and Board furniture for approaching 20 years. The couches need replacing (upholstery is wearing thin in spots), but one chair is still in fantastic shape. All the frames and springs are perfect on them. We are in the market too. Artichoke
I'm currently reupholstering our Thomasville sofa and loveseat. It's sixteen years old. I have no idea if Thomasville quality is still the same or not. We've also enjoyed our Ektorp furniture from IKEA. I'd not hesitate to buy it again for a casual family room. wendy not in HI
We have a lovely couch/love seat set by Natuzzi. Dark leather, 12 years old, only getting more beautiful. They are very comfortable for sitting and for napping. We have lived in both humid and dry areas of the country and the leather still looks great, and have done well with the moves. Annie G
I'm a Bassett and Stanley Furniture girl....it's where I'm from and I always go back home to buy. Have you read Factory Man? It's about the Bassett company, and was one of the most interesting books I read last year.
Lawyer&Mom
I really like our Room and Board couches. Great website, great delivery, lots of options in stock. Made in the USA. I'm not as wild about their case goods, but I would recommend the beds, tables and couches wholeheartedly.
Suzanne115
We bought a King Hickory sofa and love seat a few years ago. They still look brand new. Suzanne
