Cakes
All my mom wants for Christmas is a Home Depot GC. So very boring! I need some fun ways to dress it up! Any ideas?
readwithem
Stick it inside a Scrub Daddy (Home Depot has it the cheapest)!
Stacia
Cute ideas here http://www.buzzfeed.com/jreeve/diy-gift-card-holders-eeqg?s=mobile
LaxMom
You could build a box to put it in. Requiring people to break out power tools to get into their gifts is always fun! (Or maybe that was just my step-dad. :D )
Lucy the Valiant
Only tangentially related: Our family holds a $25 gift card "Yankee Swap" exchange every year, in which all gift cards are disguised; the best disguise wins a prize (and bragging rights for the entire year). This works better when the recipient doesn't know the store the gift card is for - for instance, a little toy train depot with a house could be wrapped for Home Depot. Or (if you want to be tricky), wrap a "low" shelf and give her a Lowe's card instead (or don't know if you have other competitor stores, etc.). Amazon = an Amazon warrior Target = target on a deer Chilis = a bag of chips & dip, etc. This is a much-anticipated game every year! :)
Cinder
Wrap it with a brick! Bricks are very builder-y. :D
aggie96
You can also get empty quart-size paint cans. Decorate, etc. Open with paint-can opener.
KarenNC
I've seen some novelty chocolates shaped like tools, but can't remember right now where. I've also seen ornaments shaped like tools. Home Depot might have something like this.
*lifeoftheparty*
I started putting the gift cards in a box with lots of Trade Joes goodies- chocolate covered peppermint JoeJoes, chocolate star cookies, caramels, coffee or tea, etc.
katilac
I bought a little acrylic house from Michael's (it was intended for candy). I painted the house, put the gift card inside, and set it down on a green craft foam lawn. Oh, and I used stickers to put their house number on it. AndyJoy
You can also get empty quart-size paint cans. Decorate, etc. Open with paint-can opener. That's what I was going to suggest :)

Home Depot might have something like this. Our Walmart has these. Cute idea!
