Luckymama
:grouphug: Jean Have a great time at the beach hjffkj! We don't go as often as we should. Creekland, congrats to your youngest :) So my Sunday is a bit off from the usual. Dd19 is spending a few days with a college friend who lives in the East Village. Dh is driving her to another friend's house; they will take Megabus up together. Two other friends are driving to NYC. Ds, who is home for the weekend, is sleeping at his school year rental. He sublet his room, but another kid is out of town this weekend and offered ds his room for the night. Dh and I won't walk to/from the farmers' market, bummer. My day: --shower, duh --farmers' market plus a stop at a grocery store --add paper topics to the ancient history syllabus --plan meals for the week around the veg I get --freeze more blueberries --laundry (I think the weather will hold) --water houseplants --decide what I want to accomplish this week

KRG
hmmmm no, I do not want to tackle this day. I want to laze around and watch tv and go swimming later. What needs to be done: run to CVS laundry--all that swimming is creating a mountain of towels and swimwear. Dh is griling so I plan on making some potato salad and maybe some fried okra--I have some that I need to use asap

mom31257
Picked up dd and went to Dairy Queen. Several of her friends came to see her and wanted to go out after the play. They all go to the church we've been considering leaving, so she hadn't seen them for awhile. Going to clean soon.

creekland
It was a long, but fun day. Church was good, but considering it will be the last time we are there for 4 weeks, we had a lot of "advanced catching up to do" with friends. We enjoyed it. The baptism was great - terrific weather - 22 people decided to make the statement of public faith. Then there was more camaraderie as it is my youngest's last day there until he comes home from breaks at college - and it's likely that he won't come home often. Hubby got 4 new shirts from Kohls and with the $40 Kohls cash and another coupon, it cost him $4.50 per shirt. To me, that's quite a bargain. We stopped at Sonic for milkshakes... We got more cukes, broccoli, peas, green peppers, yellow squash, and tomatoes from our garden. We did evening critter chores. Now I'm relaxing - soon I'll be off to bed. Tomorrow trip prep gets into higher gear - and middle son should be home from his Ivory Coast trip. I was looking forward to evening entertainment/stories, but youngest has planned a game night with some of their common friends. We'll have to be content hearing stories on the 1 1/2 hour trip home from the airport - then more on Tuesday.
KRG
I got everything done plus I went ahead and did an extra load of laundry, cleaned the kitchen and vacuumed. It will make for a shorter chore list tomorrow. I just realized that today is the last day to do open enrollment so dh and I have some quick number crunching to do...ugggg
