Guest
What's your favorite DVD version of this story? I buy a Christmas movie every year and think I want to get this one this year. I think of the versions I've seen, I like the Patrick Stewart one the best.
Kim in Appalachia
Muppets. It's my favorite out of every version that I've seen.
tori@thehomefront
The Alistair Sim version. Every year. And sometimes, just because. ;).
Onceuponatime
Muppets for us too.
MrsMommy
Muppets. I've already watched it more times than I can count this year. And it remains very faithful to the story!
Guest
I've never seen that one! I've never been a fan of the muppets, :leaving: so maybe I will try and catch that one on TV first.
KRG
George C Scott is my favorite but I haven't come across a version that I did not like.
unsinkable
Patrick Stewart's version! Hands down. All day long.
Ellie
I have Patrick Stewart's...alas, I cannot bear to watch it. George C. Scott is my favorite, even with his pathetic English accent, which comes and goes anyway. I *wanted* to like Patrick Stewart, but the Ghost of Christmas Past is creepy, and so is Bob Cratchit, and what's with the whole Fezziwig scene?? and, well, just no. I have never cared for Alistair Sims, either. Don't judge me. :D
Carrie Sue
I like them all...I've even seen ones with people like Susan Lucci and Tori Spelling as the "Scrooge" character and enjoyed them :) If you like musicals, you might like Kelsey Grammer's version. It had its ups and downs, though!
Mothersweets
The Alistair Sim version. The part at the end when Scrooge realizes he is alive and hasn't missed Christmas morning and he is hopping around and singing - I LOVE that part. I also like the George C. Scott version - the supporting cast is great in that one.
mrsrevmeg
I absolutely love the muppets version. I also love Patrick Stewart's version. Which one I choose to watch depends on if my husband is watching or not. (He HATES the muppets and loves Jon Luv Picard)
nmoira
Alastair Sim Blackadder's Christmas Carol
twoxcell
My favorite are the Muppet's Christmas Carol and Scrooge with Albert Finney. My dh bought the George C. Scott one last week because someone said it was good but we all found it blah.
