Educate me on sheets... Where is a reasonable place to buy white twin sheet sets?

I need to buy 6 sets for the kids.  I don't want them to feel like sand paper but don't need to buy the creme de la creme.

Look for back to school sales. This is the time of year when people are buying for dorms - including twin sheets. That's what we have done.

Target has reasonably priced twin sets that aren't that ghastly 180ct gauze type material. And they're probably having their dorm sale right now, as mentioned above.

Ikea has good prices on sheets, though I've not used them and can't testify to their quality.

If you're a Costco member, I've found them there before and been happy with them.

My sister likes the sheets from Costco as well. I usually buy them at Marshall's or TJ Maxx but I don't know if you could find that many sets of white ones at a place like that.

I agree that Target's quality is decent. Although I did just buy some for myself and they're not quite as soft as the last ones I got from there. I don't know if the quality recently went down or I accidentally went with a cheaper line (I suspect the latter).

For nice quality, I like Bed Bath & Beyond. They also have sales going on right now. I love their coupon policy - they accept expired coupons and they let you use more than one coupon per transaction.

I've gotten reasonably priced and good quality sheets on Overstock.com. It's a little nerve-wracking because you don't get to feel them before you buy, but reading the reviews helps and I haven't been disappointed.

We have Ikea sheets for our single beds and are very happy with them.  Check the sizes though: certainly in the UK Ikea sells Scandinavian as well as local sizes, so you just have to be aware.

When I'm buying for myself, I go to Bed Bath and Beyond. When I'm buying for DD, I go to Target. Jersey knit sheets are often a good cheap option - they're stretchy and soft but cheaper than most of the other sheets. I have found them to be slightly less durable, though.
