Watch new episode bachelorette

To Do

Move tv (finally!) out of backroom and into livingroom

Move new cupboard for holding animal supplies into backroom

vacuum backroom

clean entranceway

clean kitchen

school

lunch

dinner

load to goodwill bins

work on plans for floral arranging course

rehang "stained glass" on bay window

DD13 is feeling much better with two doses of amoxicillin in her. I think I'll try to be up and tackling today.

Make and eat breakfast

Wash dishes from yesterday

Vacuum the car before it starts raining

Pull some of the tall weeds in the backyard (before rain)

Lunch

Assign state history

Find DS11's math book

Pick up and vacuum living room

Pick up and vacuum school room (assigned to DS11)

Pick up and vacuum master bedroom

Have the big kids pick up and vacuum their rooms

Vacuum hard floors and mop

Dinner

Clean my "home office" space

Work on last two boxes in school room

Work on summer schedule

Work on boxes in master bedroom

Work on Motivated Moms list

I really need to get to where I'm vacuuming the whole house every day. The spot on treatment for fleas did nothing, and my dog has flea allergy dermatitis. It's miserable for both the dog and us. He bites, scratches, and licks 24/7.

11 am- ish:

Ordered Tai Chi shoes

Had breakfast - wrote down what ds wrote after he told me that he had an itchy throat (this is the same kid who broke out in hives for "no reason" yesterday.)

Figured out what I wanted ds to watch on King Lear when the link I sent him was not to the right thing.

Ordered all the books we need on Africa for dd11's history.

One load of laundry has gone through the washing machine and is now in the dryer.

I'm tackling Tuesday with you. I have quite a few items on my summer to do list before surgery in two weeks. I'm home alone every day this week so I'm doing the Flylady emergency method of work for fifteen minutes and then rest/re-evaluate for fifteen minutes. Thanks for starting these threads each day!

So far I've:

Done the reguar morning stuff

Swept the downstairs

changed all the trash can liners ( It's garbage day.)

collected and loaded all of the recyclables into my truck

collected and loaded library books into my truck

started dinner in the crockpot

straightened the living room

washed, dried, and put away three loads of laundry

swept the downstairs

Still to do:

Set up boxes to sort homeschool materials to either shelf, donate, or sell

finish cleaning the shelves of the refrigerator

put the deep freezer organizers back into their correct places

wash and change the MB linens

clear off the night table on my side of the bed

go to Hobby Lobby for items to finish dd's poodle skirt

cut and sew dd's poodle skirt ( McCall's Easy Pattern )

drop recyclables and library books

Noonish report. I am feeling a bit better today. I'm not doing cartwheels or anything but I am feeling functional instead of feeling like I'm battling to just get through each hour.

In the last hour I have:

Done the very last of dd's literature guide on The Phantom Tollbooth with her.

Went to the pharmacy and picked up more allergy meds. and prescriptions.

Went to the library and picked up holds.

Next up: lunch.

Ds is filling out forms for volunteer work.

I do not want to tackle anything, and I don't want to move!

That being said, I did do laundry and dishes and emptied out the chest freezer. I have 16 pigeon that I am now allergic to that I am giving away to the first taker. I called my husband at work and asked if he could see if anyone wanted 16 pigeon, he laughed hysterically but said he would ask. I actually have homeschool friends who will want them if he doesn't find a taker, but that will be more work for me to deliver or arrange to get a base pass for them.

12:30pm here...

Cleaned out the car

Vacuumed the car

Cleaned the inside glass of the car

Wiped down the plastic of the car

The inside of the car is clean! :hurray:

Blew all of the fir needles and seed cones off the driveway and the neighbor's driveway.

Started to blow the back deck clean but got distracted by the yellow spotted millipede I found. It is now in an old goldfish bowl we have. After putting it in there (no I didn't touch it or let the kids touch it), I found it what it was. I loved bit of information:

"Like most animals that bite, sting, taste bad or smell bad, yellow-spotted millipedes have a warning coloration. The bright yellow spots on a black background serve to warn potential predators..." except homeschooling moms with four children.

1:45pm here...

I finished blowing the back deck. The more I use the blower, the fewer fir needles and seed cones in my house.

I considered blowing the roof, but chickened out. I'm too afraid of heights and am afraid I won't be able to get down. (There's a spot where my roof and my back deck are only about four feet apart, but I really am afraid of heights.)

I filled our large, deep wheelbarrow full of weeds twice. We have weeds in our backyard that easily grow over 4 feet tall and another that is like a vine. I only pulled about a third of the weeds.

Next up is a shower...because my feet are black despite wearing socks and shoes. I need some kind of work boots.

Lunch.

Ds finished his application and sent out e-mails for references.

I have finished cleaning the kitchen.

Dd is mad at me because I wouldn't drop everything to see what she had made. I didn't handle it correctly but will wait until she isn't barricaded in her room to apologize.

Next up:

Figure out what to have for dinner now that I discovered that dh and ds will be eating here.

Well ladies, I've marked everything off my list for today except 30 minute personal reading for myself, that will come when the kids are in bed. I'm still in a funk but at least it didn't get worse with my ignoring my responsibilities. Thanks for this daily motivation. With dinner in the oven and the kids playing nicely by themselves I may even tackle a closet that needs some organizing

Change of plans a little. Learned big storm was rolling in and it was supposed to rain the rest of the week so decided to get my overdue mowing done today. Finished just as the thunder and rain began. Also decided to plant my herb seeds for my new indoor herb garden. I guess now I should get back to my previously planned list. Adding lawn and seeds to my previously done list

Yesterday was a full day of work but a lot of my list went undone because each step took longer than I had anticipated. So some of those things have been brought forward to today's list

mow front and back yards

plant seeds in indoor herb garden

To Do

Move tv (finally!) out of backroom and into livingroom

Move new cupboard for holding animal supplies into backroom

vacuum backroom

clean entranceway

clean kitchen

school

lunch

dinner (currently in the over)

load to goodwill bins

work on plans for floral arranging course

rehang "stained glass" on bay window

make list of summer time home repairs to do

finish making sure home is dog ready (dogsitting for a week starting tomorrow)

put garbage can out to curb at end of night

JoAnn, our backyard is so bad that I am seriously considering renting goats. One of my neighbors did last year and was very pleased with the results.

Goats could be useful. Fortunately, these are pretty easy to pull, and I got the most densely covered area done today. The Catchweed Bedstraw left a nice rash on my arm. I'm glad I washed it right away and applied Benedryl. After a shower, the rash is hardly noticeable. But I remember next year to be sure to wear long sleeves pulling the stuff. The other stuff I'm pulling is hawkweed or oxytongue or something like it.

When we moved across town to the house where I lived most of my growing up years, the house and yard were fixer uppers, my dad bought a goat. We had goat burgers when the goat was done with the yard and started growing horns, but my dad did not inform us that we were eating said goat until the last goat meal. Evidently, goat tastes fine. We were pretty young, though, we cried and refused to eat the goat (even though we had been eating goat for weeks.) Mom was not happy with dad, she did not make us eat the goat.

He was a cute goat, we named him Snoopy because he slept on top of the doghouse. My dad killed the goat to keep us safe when he grew horns and might have hurt us accidentally. The goat did a good job with our yard, he ate everything, even blackberry bushes, those are hard to get rid of normally.

I didn't finish my list. I never do. In my world, there is no such thing as a list that is just one day long.

However, I'm happy with my day. My car is clean. I got a lot of activity/exercise between the weeding and two short bike rides.

11:45pm wrap up for the night. Did not finish my list...like Joann I seldom do, things get rolled to the next day. It was still productive, and in addition to all I got done I watched a lame horror movie with my teens which they enjoyed. Now going to try to get some sleep despite the urge to finish the list because 6 am comes way too early.

Yesterday was a full day of work but a lot of my list went undone because each step took longer than I had anticipated. So some of those things have been brought forward to today's list

Oh and I got the bright idea to haul all the boxes of excess books out of my closet to start sorting them and deciding if I am going to actually use them or get rid of them, so I have several bankers boxes of books stacked beside my desk to actually tackle tomorrow.
