Mynyel
My dh always complains that ds10 has bad breath. Like something crawled n there and died bad. I admit it isn't great but I don't think it is as bad as dh says. However, how do I get rid of it? He brushes and flosses every day!
fairfarmhand
maybe he needs more water? Or he could have sinus drainage causing it.
jenL
Tonsil stones will also cause bad breath.

missiemick
Sounds like he needs to change his diet. My first go-to would be gluten and then give him some good probiotics.

DianeW88
Tonsil stones will also cause bad breath. :iagree: This. Most of the time, that's the cause in kids. The only true cure is tonsil removal. Sinus drainage, infection, and allergies causing sinus problems are the next most frequent cause.
Negin
Probiotics help a lot also. That, as well as eating probiotic-rich foods - plain yogurt, etc; and fruits.
Nart
My son had bad breath as a two and three year old which worried me. He got his tonsils and adenoids out at four because they were both enlarged and he had problems with fluid in his ears. Once he healed his breath smelled great. He is now five and has great smelling breath.
gardenmom5
how are his sinusus? sinusitis? an infection will cause bb. does he have yeast overgrowth? (does he eat lots of sweets or carbs?) a yeast cleanse can help with that.
Pippen
One of mine had this issue and was brushing everyday...but it turns out not very well. I switched him to a sonic toothbrush with a timer and it improved. When he got older and started caring the bad breath cleared up completely.
