Acorn
We are going to read Lentil next week. I am trying to work up the courage to give my children... harmonicas.

Amy in TX
We are going to read Lentil next week. I am trying to work up the courage to give my children... harmonicas. Tread carefully and consider what you are doing, I beg you. Learn from my mistake! If you insist on pursuing this foolhardy course, you have only yourself to blame!
Meriwether
I got Dd2 one for Christmas cheap from RR. It has a nice sound. For the price, it can "disappear" for a year if it needs to.
Heart_Mom
We got one for each of our children a couple of Christmases ago (the $2.00 from Rainbow Resource). I regretted it at first because they all played them all the time for a while. But after a while, the novelty wore off and they only play them occasionally now. (So it's not a problem any more!) My 10 year old was playing his today after reading about cowboys! :001_smile:
Stratford
Holy smokes, we love harmonicas! And slide whistles! And duck calls! (This from the mom who bought her son a drum set for his 2nd birthday...) Enjoy the noise. I figure my house will be quiet someday...and then I'll be bored. ;)
Live2Ride
I would MUCH rather hear an instrument than those electronic baby/toddler toys...they play the same noise or song over and over and over and over again...makes me want to pull my hair out. Says the mom who returned all but one, because it was put together and given that way.
kitten18
I would. I'm very good at tuning things out. :D
Mommy22alyns
:svengo: They would probably be "outside only" toys here.
Photo Ninja
And after you read the book, your dc will sit in the bathtub and play the harmonicas. At least you can shut the door then...
cin
We are going to read Lentil next week. I am trying to work up the courage to give my children... harmonicas. Why.:001_huh: Why would you do that yourself.
JessieC
Yes, you do have to get the harmonicas! Also get bars of cheap soap and let kids "whittle" them with butter knives! I hope the temperatures allow for a lot of outside time right now where you live.
