Canadianmumof5
With 2012 just around the corner and many of us looking to make some changes/resolutions, I thought I would share my chore system in its entirety. I've blogged a little about it before but now I've included the chore files for you to download and print yourself, and explained just how simple it is to set up/manage. And it is pretty inexpensive to set up (it cost us approx. $7.00!). If nothing else, then perhaps you will get some ideas of chores for your own family. Susan in TN
My Hero! :thumbup1: I particularly like how flexible it is - easy to expand, add or change chores, and space for specific cleaning instructions! In the Rain
I like the fun names you gave the chores. :D Putting very specific instructions on each card is a great idea! I get tired of explaining exactly what I mean when I say to do xyz chore.

QuirkyKidAcademy
Help for adapting this great system to your own family - On the Google screen, click file/download as/word - this will open it in Word (or Open Office, which I use) and allow you to customize the boxes to fit your needs. You can then print or save as desired. Thanks again, Mum! This is really going to help!
lmrich
The clear directions are must! I would tell my kids to go put their clothes in the washer. Apparently they needed to be told to turn it on and add soap.
Susan in TN
Another nice thing is that I can use pictures for my non-readers - that seems to make a big difference for them!
