AK_Mom4
At 6:02 am? 6.02 x 10^23 is a mole?
happyhomemaker25
We used to do this every year at my high school. Of course some activities were so totally not related. The one I remember is where everyone designed their own mole. I made a mole with a cowboy hat and guitar and called him Mole Haggard. :tongue_smilie: I wish I could remember some of the other stuff we did. We also had Pi day. We were a college prep highschool. plansrme
Yes! It is also my daughter's birthday. She is in AP Chem right now and loving it--think this means she is destined to be a chemist? Terri
Bluegoat
A couple of guys I knew in high school made Mole Man movies every year with a camcorder. He had all kinds of weird chemical enemies, and once they even filmed a scene with him being clinging to the hood of a fast moving car. It's probably my clearest memory from high school chemistry. dirty ethel rackham
Thanks for the heads up! I gave my boys a heads up and sent it to my friend who is a chemist. I had never heard of this.
Lawana
Dd celebrated mole day Thurs., because that is when her chemistry class meets. She made cinnamon rolls, decorated as moles:001_smile:.
Susann
OK, so I sent this to dd thinking she'd never heard of it and it would make her laugh. Duh, she's at an engineering school & they have mole parties planned for tomorrow:lol:
OrganicAnn
We could donate a few mole for mascots if anyone wants to come to our yard and dig them up and cart them off.
happyhomemaker25
LOL, I just asked my friends from highschool and they all said that they only remember dressing the moles up. I guess we know what made an impact on us.

Have you ever heard of putting chewed-up gum in the holes to get rid of the moles? It has to be a specific kind of gum--Wrigley's Spearmint, I think, but Google for details of you're interested. I was skeptical when a friend told me about it, but it definitely got rid of the little critters. I prefer not to think about why it works. I guess we know what made an impact on us. I think I still have my mole somewhere. It was clear from my sewing job that I was better at chemistry than home economics.
