warneral
I stated "3" but it is really 3-4. We school 4 days a week. We "should" do it 4 days a week but sometimes we just don't have the time. We typically do 1 lesson in 1 day (sometimes 2) so we are moving at a pace that is fast enough even if we do get to spelling 3x per week. nukeswife
We usually do AAS for 20 minutes 4 days a week. The levels my kids are at now has them taking 3-4 days to do a step.
3peasinapod
We do it 4 days a week, about 15 minutes each time.
Lisa in the UP of MI
For my 7yo we do AAS 3 2 days a week. We work best in longer chunks and this is enough time for us to do a whole step in one week.
Lots of boys
We do it 4 days a week, about 15 minutes each time. We do it every day as well but only 3 days are new and I spend the other two just reviewing which can take 5 - 15 min tops.
Five More Minutes
We do it 4 days a week, about 15 minutes each time. Same here. We get through a step in 4 days, usually.
tammyw
Once a week. We do the entire lesson in one day. It doesn't take that long, but dd8 isn't having any spelling issues with the lessons so far (we are on Level 3).
TeachingTwins
Four days per week, about 15 minutes per day. We usually take the 4 days to finish a Step.
lucyfan70
I do it everyday because my girls struggle with spelling.
atozmom
We do AAS 2 days a week and grammar 2 days a week. However, when we are doing our phonics and writing, and get to things that we have already learned in AAS, we talk about those. "Oh look, here is something you learned in spelling. Do you remember the rule for this?" This year we will be done with our phonics program and will move on to doing AAS 4 times a week.
MsAlimar
We do AAS 4 days a week with a lesson a day. We just started using AAS in September so DD is working quickly through Level 1 and will start Level 2 in a couple of weeks. It's really easy for her right now so it only takes about 10 - 15 minutes. We will see if that changes once she reaches the upper levels.
Kirch
Right now we do it every other day (alternating with grammar), so it's usually about twice a week, sometimes 3 days.
warneral
I love seeing the flexible way it is used! I also love that even if I don't get to it some days, I still see my children progressing in their understanding of spelling.
iona
We do it four days a week. It takes the longest on the first day because of the new material. The other three days we do the review dictations and review one type of card. I do fll and wwe on the shorter three aas review days so it comes out to about the same amount of time each day for language arts. Clear as mud? Heidi @ Mt Hope
I voted 3 because that is what we have managed the past month, but I have it planned for 4 days a week and that is what I would like to be doing.
