sagira
As we were reviewing our 3D Interactive Map of Jamestown and Roanoke, ds8 all of a sudden exclaimed that he knew what happened to the settlers. I said, Oh? He proceeded to explain that the word Croatoan engraved on the tree was the key. The Croatoan Indians had attacked, made the settlers carve their name in the tree, and told the settlers to pick up the trees. The trees were too heavy so the settlers got squished underneath, hence there's no trace of them. Well, that settles it then

*Jessica*
 Nice theory! Of course! Instant fertilizer! I read this totally wrong as infant fertilizer! I couldn't decide if you meant something that would help infants grow or fertilizer made from infants. It took me far too long to realize my mistake. I really need a nap. :tongue_smilie:

Satori
 Hehe, we just finished studying the Roanoke Lost Colony. What is your 3D Interactive Map of Jamestown and Roanoke? Is it the Scholastic one? http://shop.scholastic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay_33474_-1_10001_10002 I mean to get that, should probably get it this week.
