athena1277
LOL! Yesterday ds (4yo) saw the UPS truck near our house and wanted to know if we were getting a package. Apparently we get a lot.
suppleasthewind
One time I ran out to the sidewalk to meet it (I can recognize the sound of UPS coming down the street) because I was waiting for a package. It drove past my house and i just stared at it unbelievingly as it drove past and continued down the street.
skirch
Nevermind that I don't have a package I'm waiting for. How dare he.:lol: One day dh asked me if I'd had a fight with the UPS guy. When I asked him why he said because the UPS guy just drove by without stopping.:tongue_smilie:
Mommy22alyns
Hate when that happens! I was expecting something today and UPS just showed up - at almost 6 pm. That's super late unless it's holiday time. I was :glare:.
SunD
LOL! Yesterday ds (4yo) saw the UPS truck near our house and wanted to know if we were getting a package. Apparently we get a lot. We must be worse (Amazon Prime, what can I say?). We were standing across the street talking to my SIL and the UPS truck turned down the street. DD3 started walking back toward our house. SIL said, "Wait, you shouldn't talk to strangers! Let your mom get it!" DD didn't even stop. She just yelled, "He's not a stranger, he's the UPS man!". True enough. He got out of the truck and she said, "Hi John, is it something for ME?"
2cents
That's just WRONG! Doesn't that UPS man know that the rule is that they must stop at the homeschool houses?? :glare:
LaxMom
My kids all start yelling "Charlie's here!" and run out the door. The dog doesn't even bark. The year my boys went as Charlie for Halloween, we had a substitute driver (all collectively named "Not Charlie") who took a phone pic and texted it to him. He didn't recognize the number and was confused about how I had his cell phone number because he knew the kids, lol. My husband refers to him as my boyfriend. BatmansWife
I will caution you against starting any thread with Ugh. JK! :D I know what you mean. Even just getting the mail each day I'm always hoping there will be some package in the mailbox. What a disappointment when there isn't.
mommaduck
He probably realised that he forgot his kilt and went to get it before delivering your box :D
Parrothead
Oh, sorry. He was on his way here. I'll ask him not to tease you that way when he comes by again tomorrow. :D
Classical Country Mama
To provide a little balance, I would like to add that I was expecting two packages today (FLL2 and Fizz, Bubble & Flash--and may I just interrupt myself to say how excited I am for FBF!!!), and I texted my girlfriend quite irritatedly this afternoon to say, "When is UPS coming?!" and no sooner had I pressed Send than UPS turned into my driveway. With four packages.:001_wub: It almost made up for the bazillion days UPS has coldly driven right past. So my word of encouragement is: don't be discouraged. I'm sure he'll stop by tomorrow. Denisemomof4
UPS pulled into my driveway today, which can ONLY be intentional, and I couldn't remember what I ordered this time. I knew my last of the Amazon shipments had already come, and for the life of me I just had NO idea what present was being delivered this time!:tongue_smilie: My friend laughed at the guy throwing bones out to my 13 lb dachsund so he could get to the house. I wouldn't keep him out if I was expecting a delivery! The dog has them well trained, though, because he stays by the truck getting more and more bones tossed to him until the driver leaves. Problem solved. It was for dh. That NEVER happens.:lol::lol:

*lifeoftheparty*
I'm expecting an entire HUGE Homeschooler Pack from Better Chinese, every time the truck drives past my house it's like a dagger in my heart!

Ewe Mama
Did the UPS truck come through for you yet? I'm laughing at this thread because hardly a weekday goes by when our UPS guy isn't here with something pertaining to home school (yes, we're Amazon Prime members.)
