4. Art: Projects can be related to the read aloud stories and seasonal themes.

Utilize different art mediums/techniques throughout the year (crayon, paint, etc...).

Practice different letters/sounds each week, upper and lowercase, writing their name. Handwriting Without Tears - K teacher's manual (this gives kinesthetic activities for teaching children how to form letters)

 

6. Music: Get Wee Sing cd's from the library for various sing alongs, finger plays, rhymes, and other musical activities. Easy prep and fun for the kids.

 

7. Math: Use manipulatives for sorting/patterning/counting and math games

This looks really neat, but I haven't used it yet...might have to do it this fall with my pre-k kid!

I LOVED DANIELLES PLACE!!! Her ABC I believe is wonderful and from my understanding it is added too as well. The ABC membership is a one time thing so you have it for life. I have been wanting to do the one with the insect lapbooks and keep forgetting.

I'm so glad someone has used this! I'm planning on adding it to LHTH from HOD for my soon to be 4-year-old this fall. For only $12.95 that fits in my budget easily :001_smile: Thanks for letting me know about the lifetime membership as well!
