NanceXToo
My DD10 has been developing a br east b ud on one side for what seems like forever now and is finally just starting to develop on the other as well. She is frequently complaining that her chest hurts. Is it normal for it to feel tender or painful like that? I don't recall feeling that myself, but of course that was a long time ago. Pink and Green Mom
I remember it feeling painful, and my mom asking the doctor about it. He said that was normal. :grouphug: to your daughter.

I remember that phase because it hurt. It was the worst when anything grazed or touched/impacted my chest. If it continues for more than a couple months though, I would ask a doctor. :grouphug:
meggie
Yes, I remember it being uncomfortable (enough to complain about, but not super painful).
amo_mea_filiis.
It didn't happen to me, but dd is quite sore, and according to an american girl book that dd loves, it's normal.
Carol in Cal.
Yes, I had that. Some kids also have very hard areas in the middle of each side, and those can seem disconcertingly similar to tumors, but aren't. Technically they are called buds. mom2l&j
I remember it being really painful when I would get hit in the chest by anything. I'm sure there was a general discomfort as well.

Denisemomof4
dd 11 developed one bud only for the longest time and now is developing the second. Yes, it hurts. I remember oldest DS developing a breast bud on one side and his was painful, too. Yes, boys get breast buds! He's flat as a board now, thankfully.;)
