  1. Lol! It sounds like I'll be succumbing soon too.
  2. I'm not sure. I just started trying to have 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking. It seems to be working for me. I think everyone has to figure out what works for their body. I do think that eating something, even a pastry, would be more helpful than nothing.
  3. The items I use the most are as follows: Scrapers Batter bowls Prep bowls - great for my portion control w/ snacks Cutting boards Can opener Chip clips Old style food chopper I LOVED my 12" family skillet! I bought it before they had the lifetime warranty and it just finally wore out. ETA: garlic press
  4. I have been doing these same exercises and the difference has been amazing.
  5. I'm not doing anything as strenuous as p90x but my migraines have gotten better. (I also think discontinuing milk has helped me.). I would make sure that you are using proper form while exercising. I would also try to do some relaxing stretching when you are done. I found a 10 minute yoga stretch that I did after my workouts in the beginning. I found that my back was really tight and it got much better after the stretching.
  6. We just finished ours for today. 1 small bottle Strawberry Kefir (I bought little bottles at Costco) 2 handfuls of spinach 1/2 banana about 1/2 c. frozen cherries about 10 slices frozen peaches added water to thin it out for my blender ETA: My DS is much more willing to drink it when he helps make it. I let them pick 1 or 2 of the fruits to put in also.
  7. I would start with her general doctor if they are generally responsive. Otherwise a geriatric physician would be a good place to start. She wiil probably need to have a neuropsych evaluation done.
  8. I have avoided updating for several reasons as well. I have not updated and have been experiencing an increase in Safari crashes.
  9. What part of the state are you in? ETA: It appears you are near IC. Unfortunately quite a ways from us.
  10. HollyDay how are you feeling? I'm a beginning runner that fully anticipates my genetic knee issues to flare up at some point.
  11. It's very likely I would have done the same thing if in your circumstances.
  12. :grouphug: Deep breath. Everyone is okay. I would call the police to fill them in and see what they suggest.
  13. Someone needs to be on your insurance if they have regular access to your car. Typically that is if someone lives in your home and they do not have their own auto insurance. The situations you are describing would not constitute DD and SIL being added to your insurance. If SIL is driving your car with your permission then typically it is your insurance that would cover an accident.
  14. I wasn't sure it would work for us. We only use the workbooks. Manipulatives and the videos drive both my kids batty. We stuck with it because it was too expensive to switch. It is now working for us well. I'll be interested in seeing what you find that works for you.
  15. We are using Math-U-See. I took Dd11, 6th grade, back to multiplication (gamma) and division (delta). She's already finished with the multiplication and will finish the division in a week or two. She still doesn't like math, but she can do it. It has been a huge help to us! As we started each book I gave her the unit tests as sort of a pre-test. We started at the point that she didn't pass the tests. I'm really hoping to get through a large portion of the epsilon book before ITBS. (I pulled her from PS due to incredibly low ITBS math computation scores.)
  16. If your house is like mine then they will always be in conflict about something. They can get along fantastic for about 15 minutes maximum in the same room. Let me know if you find something that works. My kids are 9 and 11.
  17. Yes! I have 5 in the living room. Thank goodness they are decluttered already. I do need to clean the glass doors and dust the shelves.
  18. I just got braces off this past year. Popcorn and fresh veggies and fruits are a total pain in the butt to clean out of braces. Yes, he might be able to carefully eat it, but he'll enjoy it for several hours. :tongue_smilie: I got to the point that I just didn't eat those things. Steamed veggie and baked potatoes (microwave) were my favorite.
