MotherMayI
A lot of these warnings? I have gotten at least 6 of them in the past few weeks from sources like Target, Eddie Bauer, Walgreens, etc. Not a big deal (I hope), but now I have my radar on. aliya
Yesterday I got them from Best Buy, Target & Walgreens. I'm not really sure what the ramifications are.
Wheres Toto
I've gotten them from credit card companies and Marriott. If what they are saying is true, it just may lead to an increase in Spam and you should make sure not to reply to any emails with personal account numbers or passwords. Miss Marple
Yes, from Target and CollegeBoard
Wendi
Yes, from our bank and one other company. Just be on your guard, as usual, for suspicious emails, and don't click on links in emails asking for you to update information, etc. When in doubt, call the company directly. bluemongoose
I got one too from a Kroger affiliate. It said I should expect increased spamming. :glare:

sparrow
Epsilon, which handles the e-mail marketing for TONS of companies had a security breach: http://mashable.com/2011/04/03/epsilon-hacked/ We're all probably going to get more spam than usual :glare:. stephanier.1765
There was a big hack job into Epsilon which, I believe, does the security for all those companies. I believe though that all they got was your e-mail information. However you still want to watch for phishing.
lisamarie
Yup, I got one from Target. The breech got 12 companies according to the radio report this morning. Including many large banks and large stores--Target, Walgreens.

MotherMayI
I hadn't heard anything about it on the news. Thanks for the update. I don't know how many I got, but I think it is time for me to unsubscribe to a few:tongue_smilie:.
