dancer67
I am putting together a slide show with pictures of my soon to be 18 yo daughter. We are having a surprise party. My BIL is going to play the slide show, but I am putting it together myself. I am looking for some song ideas. Something that talks about growing up. On the slow side. Can be any genre, or even religious. Something with meaning to it. I do NOT want however, songs like "I Hope You Dance", or "Wind Beneath My Wings" or songs that seem to always be used over and over again. I appreciate all the suggestions!!:D Something different. Hunter's Moon
Get Ready, Get Set, Don't Go That one in the link is sung by Billy Ray Cyrus. There is one by him and his daugther together. It is about a father daughter relationship, but doesn't mention the father part, unless you know he is singing it for his daughter. If you used the one where he is singing alone I think it could work. HTH! ETA: I just realized there is a part where she says "Da Da". Maybe a video of the live performance would be better. akmommy
It's an older song, but I like Turn Around by Danny Kaye. Sonny and Cher did a remake of it in the 60's. the song talks about little girls growing up and fits bill for slow. Hth
