Caraway
I have been reading the SWB's The History of the Ancient World. Last night I was trying to look something up in the "Works Cited" section when I came across a typo that made me laugh out loud. She sites her own book, "The Well Educated Mind". But instead of writing: "The Well Educated Mind: A Guide to the Classical Education You Never Had" She (or her editor/proof reader) wrote: "The Well Educated Mind: A Guide to the Classical Education You Never Need" :smilielol5:

Daisy
OMWord. That is too funny. I just ran and looked at my book. Hmm, probably want to get that fixed in future editions. LOL. :D

Impish
LOL! I was reading TWTM today, and found that it quoted 'fifth grade book..." followed by the title of the grade SIX grammar book. So I'm just plain confused as to what is meant on that score. (page 343 of the new edition, for anyone interested).

Someone should double check the proofreader's underlying educational philosophy!
