ereks mom
Just last week he was fine, but he stopped eating a few days ago, and quickly went downhill. We are not people who think of our pets as our children, but after 17 years, he had become like one of the family.
sheryl
Just last week he was fine, but he stopped eating a few days ago, and quickly went downhill. We are not people who think of our pets as our children, but after 17 years, he had become like one of the family. Understood. We are animal nuts around here (lab dog and ragdoll cat). While we do not consider them children; we do consider them part of the family! Will offer a prayer for you. So sorry.....:grouphug:

Jennifer in MI
I'm also not a huge animal person. My pets are just that, pets. But, when our beloved black lab died, I was devastated. I still cry when I think about it and it was two years ago! Anyway, I totally understand. That hole will be there for a while. Take time to grieve! :grouphug:
NicksMama-Zack's Mama Too
We had our sweet calico put to sleep almost 4 months ago leaving a big hole in our family. She was 17.5 years old. I miss her terribly and cried daily for a few weeks, but it gets easier as time goes by. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Tree House Academy
Oh how sad. My animals are not people either, but they are very much a part of our family. My cats are 13 years old and I don't even want to think of losing them. :( Prayers coming for your family!
