momofkhm
They were a band back in the 80's. And if I remember right, they did the soundtrack for a movie about vampires? Something made me think of them today and I was trying to tell the kids but my brain was fuzzy on the whole thing.
Mandamom
I loved that band. Even got to see them in concert. :)
Frontier Mom
Oh, yeah. They had a cutie for lead singer, Michael Hutchence. They did a soundtrack for the movie The Lost Boys, if that is the one you are thinking about. Seems they are still together though the lead singer died a few years back. Heather in AL
I, too, loved listening to them, and I listened to their CD so much that my DAD became a fan! :D I looked on imdb.com and INXS songs appear on several movie soundtracks. The vampire movie is probably The Lost Boys with Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric (:001_tt1:), and "The Coreys". Their songs are *still* showing up in new movies, too! Long live INXS!!!
Pink Fairy
They were favorites of mine. I even saw them in concert when I was in hs. :coolgleamA: I remember when Michael Hutchence took his life. So very sad.

Alphabetika
I wore out my INXS cassettes. Those were the days...;)
Amber in AUS
Yes, i remember them. I was just a nipper in the 80s but they were my one of my Mum's favs. I was very sad for Michael, more so for his daughter.
*Inna*
Loved them! Ahhh, the 80's...
sarawatsonim
I usually always include a song or two by INXS when I make a mixed CD. They have some great songs. :001_smile:
nukeswife
Love INXS, I even watched the show they had on a few years ago when they picked a new singer. The new guy is no Michael Hutchence but he's not bad.
Guest janainaz
I loved them and I loved that movie. Oh, and there was a show on a few years ago called Rock Star INXS where they were looking for a new lead singer. Some guy named J.D. won, but I have not heard anything of them since. LindaOz
Just as a bit of trivia, Kirk Pengilly who played guitar/sax with INXS, has been a finalist on Celebrity Master Chef here in Australia over the last couple of months. You'd never guess, would you...? :)
Tutor
Yup. I had the Lost Boys poster on my wall and the soundtrack in my cassette player (turned up to 11). Also had an INXS poster. Wow, that seems like ages ago.
Guest Alte Veste Academy
I'm seeing a lot of past tense here, people! What gives? My old INXS cds happily make up a playlist on my iPod. It gets play, even in 2009. :D

They fired him not long ago. He returned here to Canada and I think may have or had a recent drug problem due to the shock of being fired out of the blue. He was good, definitely not Michael Hutchence though. Did you know that he was a Elvis impersonator before he made it on the show?
The Governess
Just heard them on the radio yesterday! :001_smile:
OhM
Saw them open for Adam Ant in...oh, must have been...around 1984? I just remember "It's the One Thing" was in high rotation on MTV at the time. So sad about Michael Hutchence's death. I hadn't really followed the band since college days, so didn't follow the TV show at all. Huh - blast from the past. And here's a sign of how old I am now: after composing this message involving several minutes of reverie, I can't remember why the OP brought them up:lol: Going back now to see... elegantlion
Michael Hutchence, may he rest in peace. Big INXS fan here. If you click on the Tolerate, Educate, Accomplishate in my signature you will see they were in the inspiration for my school motto.
NicksMama-Zack's Mama Too
"I was there, you were standing Two worlds collided and they could never tear us apart.."
