Amber in AUS
Thankyou so much for all your tips and tricks. I got a Kwik Sew pattern kept in mind all your advice and got down to work with some beautiful fabric. I was suprised there were so many choices at the store. Some of the fabrics were very pricey! I measured DD and made a 6 but i will make a 5 for the next one. This one is just a little big. She is VERY pleased with it :D

Amber in AUS
Thanks everyone :) I was so very pleased with the outcome. I have some 'bubblegum' lycra velour here for the next one. Hopefully i will get to it today. Lisa - no plans for making to sell at this point. I was just happy to save the $ by making one myself but i guess if anyone at the gym asks then i might think about it. I think she is pretty cute too! Thanks again. Amber in AUS
Here is the second one. Sewing was much better this time and it fits better too.
Jean in Newcastle
Very sweet. Was it really cheaper to sew it yourself? (I ask simply because fabric seems so expensive now-a-days.)
Amber in AUS
The blue fabric was $15 and the pink $25, that is for half m. The pink one was imported from Italy, hence the expense. The pattern was $10. I will get another leo out of the pink piece. Leo's are starting at $45 at our gym. So yes, i think it worked out cheaper and i can now make loads more.
