*LC
Jean, I am so sorry to hear about your son. I'm glad to hear his appointment went well, and that the follow-up appointments and tests will be happening so quickly. That will help you get back to letting him sleep. Like everyone says, please do not be mad at yourself. You did the right thing as soon as you knew there was a problem. Even if your Mommy instinct had told you the first episode was a seizure, what could you have done? All you could have told the doctor was that Nathan woke up in the night and was groggy and that you "knew" it was seizure. That probably wouldn't have gotten you very far. My youngest daughter had a similar seizure at age two, where she stopped breathing and turning blue. It was scary even though I had witnessed my husband have a grand mal seizure a couple of years before that. His happened while we were asleep, and it took me a long time to be able to go to sleep without worrying what might happen. With my daughter, she had another a few months later, but nothing in the nearly three years since then. Praying for no more problems and good test results. Quiver0f10
He is doing really good. Poor thing doesn't remember a thing from that night except the ambulance showing up onward. We explained what happened and what is going to happen and he seems OK with it and hasn't really said much. Thank you for asking!

Quiver0f10
He has an eeg and mri on Monday the 17th and we see the neuro on the 24th. The eeg and mri will be up here, but the neuro is in FS.
Nestof3
How horribly frightening. I hope the neurologist is able to help you. We have friends who have a son who has seizures, and it is a frightening thing to see happen, especially to a child.
Jan in SC
My son has had several eegs and they told us to keep him awake very late the night before and wake him early as that shows seizure activity a little better. You might want to ask if you need to do this. Good luck and best wishes! Janet

*anj*
Oh Jean, I'm just reading this now. I'll be praying for your son and for all of you. I used to take care of a couple children who had seizures. It can be so scary.
