rwalizer
The only things you may want to think about is literature or some kind of reading program even if you just read books and discuss them and a foreign language. I see you already have health as an elective, but colleges really like to see at least 2 years of foreign language. Here is what I have planned for 9th grade: Videotext Algebra (finishing up the second half) Trisms history (incorporates literature) IEW for writing Rosetta Stone spanish Apologia Biology Violin lessons I'm also going to squeeze in Teaching the Classics to help ds learn to pick out the elements in literature. I've bought The Fallacy Detective and Editor in Chief, but we'll see if they get done! We have PE covered because ds is a cyclist and races several time a year. BTW, we used Writeshop and really liked it. HTH.

Frontier Mom
Our schedule: Math: Saxon Algebra 1 (finish around Dec.) / Saxon Algebra II Science: Biology-Exploring Life with lab manual, CD Lightning Literature: American Literature (Both semester courses) Grammar: Analytical Grammar Writing: Writing Strands Foreign Language: First Form Latin Year 1 Logic: Traditional Logic I & II Vocabulary: Vocabulary from Classic Roots C/D History: American History using TWTM book recommendations and Spievogel's Human Odyssey Health: Hewitt HS course (semester but will spread out for year) Bible: Hewitt HS course with products by Swindoll PE: HS Basketball Team, Various sports I'm afraid my schedule is a little much but I think it is attainable. I want to do the health course but also really want to cover American History at the same time we are studying American Literature. I am planning on the Health course being only two days a week to lesson the load a little because I would rather have the American History spread throughout the year with the Literature course.
