  3. My guess is that someone on the team he is cheering for got "happy hands." That's what we call it when the receiver can't catch the ball that is literally touching his hands.
  4. Almost time for kick-off! (If you don't like it, start your own thread! :D  :D )
  5. I'd love to know the mechanics of how she tried to lie and how she got caught.
  6. I think this mom needs a month at a spa retreat. The articles read that she is 31 years old with 6 kids from 14 years to 2 years and that she works 12 hour days 6 days a week. That is a lot of stress.

  8. I've posted about Father Mychal Judge before. He was an FDNY chaplain who died that day. "That Final Morning On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, Judge rushed with some off-duty firemen to the World Trade Center, which had just been hit by the first plane. Tom Von Essen, who was then commissioner of the New York Fire Department, saw him in the North Tower. "And he looked really concerned," Von Essen recalls. "We didn't talk. We always talked. We always fooled around. But we didn't that morning." As it happened, French documentary filmmakers were inside the North tower. Their camera captured some of the last moments of Mychal Judge's life. In the film, says his friend, Father Michael Duffy, you can see the priest standing by the plate glass window, watching the bodies fall on the patio outside." http://www.npr.org/2011/09/05/140154885/memories-of-sept-11s-first-casualty-burn-bright

  13. Tranquil Mind wrote drunkenness is a sin. You completely twisted what she wrote.
  14. Nope, it's dismissive. And the continued use of the words just show a desperate need to control the conversation.
  15. You're telling me to step back and yet you need alcohol to deal with what you're reading? Perhaps you should take your own advice.
  16. This type of dismissive post doesn't help.
  17. You asked people to use certain words and not use other words and no one dismissed your concerns. Now, you're dismissing the concerns of some people about the use of xian.
  18. Yes, of course! We've seen it on this very thread about the use of "gays" vs "gay people."
  19. I hope you're having a wonderful day with your family...and you get to take a nice birthday horseback ride!

  21. I must be the odd duck bc I don't think unibomber references are funny.
  22. I've been at meals where the cheap tipper has removed the extra tip money because he WAS offended at the implication that his tip wasn't enough. I will not go down THAT road again.
  23. Add money to the table. Or go back when the other guest has left or isn't looking.
