  1. Just an FYI...about fries... Red Robin has all-you-want fries and a waitress once offered us some as soon as we sat down bc she heard my kids say they were hungry. So we ask for fries often when we're just seated. Also, there is a list of free dipping sauces you can have, too. And a second list of premium dipping sauces that are 50 or 75 cents.
  2. I got what you were doing. I appreciate it.
  3. Nope, you're not missing much. I was trying to think of something that had no moral value but that I didn't want to hear in public...and passing gas was it.
  4. Yeah, there's a lotta toe-stubbing and thumb-hammering* on this board. *yah, I get it. They're general examples.
  5. I answered that already...
  6. Great questions but not related (IMO) to my original post which was that there is no moral value to passing gas but I'd rather not hear it in public. I think it pretty much stands for itself. There's a list of stuff I'd rather not hear in public that has no moral value.
  7. Hey, I'm talking about public passage of gas!
  8. you had two (at least) questions. Plus Japan. But, your first question is not one I will be answering bc I didn't say it was offensive.
  9. I liked this bc you answered your own question. My DH does that all the time. "Should we leave at noon? Yeah, I think so. Gives us plenty of time."
  10. No, Japan was irrelevant. IMO, of course. I can't speak for Japan.
  11. I'm sorry, but I thought this is America?
  12. There's no moral value to passing gas but I'd rather not hear it in public. The young, the elderly and the pregnant get a pass.
  13. One thing I've never done before that I plan on doing is taking a trip to a nearby cidery. Yummy!
  14. We are going through an unusual heat wave for this area for this time of year. Blech. Hot, hazy, humid. I looooooooooove fall! And I'm looking forward to cool days and crisp nights (which I usually have by now!). What do you do, make, eat, etc specifically in fall?
  15. I'm probably the only one thinking of the scene in Pursuit of Happyness where little Christopher asks, "Is f--- spelled right?" "Um, yes. F--- is spelled right but you shouldn't use that word." "Why?"
  16. I disagree with your assessment of your exchange with mamiof5.
  17. Warning: The sidebar of this site has the picture of a dead child on a beach. :crying:
  18. I didn't take that post that way at all...especially since she wrote something about agreeing to disagreeing AND used a smiley. I think she did everything she could NOT to be snarky.
  19.   Oh, it does explain a lot! It is pretty much a total conversation stopper or opener when I tell people that. Plus, if I hear someone say, "did you grow up in a barn?" I can pipe up and say, "I grew up in a BAR! No 'N'!"
  20. They were on Fox News...I think a morning program. I don't remember how the authors pronounced it. I'm pretty sure one of the hosts made a sound like "A-hem Feelings" while holding up the book.
  21. Get out more...post from the road! 2 5 0 0 0 posts! Woohoo!
  22. Like the mild-mannered, well-spoken, never-swearing doctor who growled "You are NOT going to f*cking die on us today!" during a cardiac case when the patient flat-lined.
  23. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/30/us/as-hikers-celebrate-on-appalachian-trail-some-ask-where-will-it-end.html?_r=0 I read this about problems on the trail and thought of you.
