  4. Thanks for the replies. We are considering something like this for my upcoming 12th grader. He will be 17 when he graduates, so I think this might be a really good idea for him.
  5. Congratulations to your DD and to you! 91#s is amazing!!!
  6. We started schooling with September-June, then when we were in Maine we did Oct - July so kids could work harvest. Now we are August -May to stay with my college age kids. We did try all year one year and it just didn't work for us. I need summer to rewind.
  7. I am making pizza for them and bought chips and soda ( rare treat lol). I have no idea what I am eating yet.
  8. The biggest area for us is food. I have always been frugal and cook from scratch, but everything has gone up in price so it makes it even more challengng to be thrifty.
  9. Do you just do one more year of highschool work? Take a year off? Or...?
  10. I am speechless and that's a rare thing LOL.
  11. I, too, recommend an eval asap. Your pedi should be able to get you on the right road. I regret not having my son evaluated sooner and recieving ST sooner.
  12. Thanks for the links and book recommendations. We will be busy :)
  13. I like the looks of the Stock Market Game, but we didn't want to pay yet. Once we gets usd to the free one we might try that. Getting the WSJ is an excellent idea, as is tracking WM stock :D
  14. We just did this on Saturday! My oldest has been sharing a room with her 2 sisters and really needed some personal space. So we moved the 3 oldest boys from their room and put them into the dining room ( had to run to Lowes and buy 2 doors, but it works nicely) and we moved my DD into thier room. Then we moved our dining room table to the living room and moved the books shelves and my desk from the school room into the new dinning room, creating a nice sized, new school room. Next we moved the living room into the old school room/family room. Confused yet? :D So we went from a 4 bedroom house to a 5 bedroom with a larger school room all in days ( very hard) work.
  15. Thanks! We have been playing around with the vse one. He said it looks interesting.
